[Okay. So Aziraphale's message was... less than helpful... and there are a lot of newbies this time around. So Eleanor decides to have another crack at a greeting to all of them.

So she sat on her couch in front of a plain white wall, nothing fancy. A framed candid photo of her and Rosabella hangs off to her right, below it is a picture of Mrs. Brisby. Dressed in a comfy plaid shirt, she gives the mirror a lop sided smile before she begins to speak.]

Hey everyone, I'm Eleanor and I'm just gonna get straight to the point:

Here's the deal. I'm not gonna sugar coat this for you - Things aren't the greatest right now. The townies hate us, which is just making everything a little harder. We're doing our best, but we've gotta work harder if we're going to win back their trust. I know all you newbies are probably getting sick of hearing about everything. There's a loooooot of info. Take it from someone who used to reading, uh, anything So here are some cliffnotes:

-You can get some food for free at places in town - it's good shit, too. That'll help til you get a job or someone to freeload off of.
-The Emporium has everything you might need - ask for me or Michael, we'll help hook you up.
-I'm sure you've already noticed, but the full moon makes things weird around here. Anyone who's a monster class starts looking and acting pretty wiggy. And... don't take it personally, they can't help it. On the new moon it's the exact opposite, so be nice.
-Most importantly: don't do any missions til you've at least tried to do magic... they suck ass if you don't know what you're doing. During my first mission, one guy blew up one of our tents and made the other one invisible. Seriously. You try finding an invisible tent in the dark. It's not fun.

[She gives the mirror a reassuring smile.]

Listen... I know it's a lot. Trust me. I didn't believe a single word of it until I saw the corroded with my own eyes and actually did magic for the first time. But you're not alone. If you want help with magic and shit there are a lot of us around you can talk to. Also, I'm gonna put out the same blanket offer I did a while ago. No matter how long you've been here, If you need someone to train with, talk to, hang out with, bitch at or whatever, I'm your girl. I work at the Emporium, but hit me up through the mirror any time. I'll buy the first round of drinks. Booze, tea, coffee, milk and cookies, a thimble of something, whatever.

[She pauses, biting her lip]

Uuuuhhh yeah that's about it. [Another pause] Fuck, I don't know how to end this without sounding either really lame or super awkward... except now I just made it awkward by saying that. [She facepalms] Just... bye. Okay? Bye.

So, my name is Connie, nice to meet you. I don't mind hanging out and all, but I DO really want to get started on training. It doesn't seem smart to try and go on a mission and not know how these things work, after all. When do you think we could do that?

Nice to meet you too, Connie! And yeah, definitely a good idea to do some training before you go out on a mission; magic here is kind different than what it probably is on your world, so you'll want to know what you're doing.

As for when, hmm... Well you'll probably want to do some training with your own class first, so any time after that, I guess? Just let me know. Though if you just wanted to hang out sometime, we could do that any time I'm not working.

There's not really magic on my world, just a lack of the understanding of alien tech! There are definitely aliens and mutations on my world though, so I'm sort of used to things being very weird. But yeah, I guess I can learn magic while I'm relearning my warrriorship?

However, I have been taking note that most people I have spoken to, yourself included, have referenced the townspeople's feeling toward us and made very sure to NOT explain where this animosity comes from. Until that happens, I cannot say I feel inclined toward making their feelings my priority, particularly when I have been already infringed upon being here and losing abilities that have taken me years to hone.

As for this training, I have also been informed that we are in classes, so that leads me to believe you are best suited to be trained by the person whose class is the same as yours. In my case, I would like to know whom would be best suited to train...ahem...monsters.

That's a fair question... I think we mostly avoid talking about it because it's super dumb. We were warned to stay away from the Train Station. And the townspeople kept acting like it was some super big bad thing and we had to stay away. So, of course, a group of idiots decided to break in and see what the fuss was all about. Turns out the corrosion had made it to the train station and they almost died. I mean... I think the locals were starting to get a little annoyed with us because there are more and more of us fucking around town but shit isn't getting cleared much faster than it was when we started, but we're trying. It doesn't help that magic keeps fucking with us and making it super hard to get anything done. No joke, I was literally turned into a squid for a day. But anyway, I think the shit at the train station just made it worse.

[She paused for a moment, letting that sink in. Finally, she cleared her throat and looked up again.]

But, uh, training! Right. I don't know who they're gonna have you train with. I mean, when we started it was a lot of training with Merlin, Hades, and Dreamfinder. But lately they've been having apprentices who've been here longer train people who just got here. For monsters I'd guess maybe Crowley?

That hardly seems like a reason to be intolerant of those thrust into this situation. After all, every one of the people brought here are not only giving up living their own familiar lives without being asked, but also their powers, or to learn magic to begin with. While I understand not liking the fact that they must provide room and board, the very reason for being here is to ensure the town is not overtaken by this corrosion, yes? If they cannot do it themselves, I believe the applicable term here is "beggars can't be choosers."

Now, onto the subject of the magic you mentioned that was, for lack of a better term, "fucking" with you...how exactly has this come to be? In my world magic is regulated by function, and the only time it deviates from that is when the caster themselves is unable to contain the thing they are calling forth into that world. That magic seems to flow unmitigated here seems to indicate there is more than just the corrosion at fault in this place.

[Which just gave way to more implications that made Shadow Weaver's head spin].

You guess. Maybe it might be a good thing to also organize the way these training sessions happen, its progression, and advanced classes for those who are at a higher pace than those who are still having novice issues. I do not mean to overstep my boundaries, but back home I was a mentor for a magically inclined child...for a time.

In that case you can help by checking out the mission board. None of us are good enough to go out on our own, but in groups we can clean up and fix areas that need it.
