Honey I shrunk the apprentices!

I think I have this figured out now. Mostly...

[ She added while adjusting the small mouse sized mirror on a stone so it would be propped upright enough to show what she was talking about then she paced over to stand next to a large acorn. ]

Its Wish magic so all I really have to do is wish for it hard enough and I should be able to make this acorn small enough to fit in the palm of my hand.

[ That said she closed her eyes and held out a paw which began to glow as she made her wish. When her eyes fluttered open again she was indeed holding the now much smaller acorn in her paw. ]

It worked! I mean... I-- I thought it would. I've been practicing this a lot lately and...

[ Just spit it out, she told herself with a deep steadying breath. ]

Would anyone out there feel brave enough to volunteer to be shrunk yourself?

That is amazing. [he stares at it, lights twinkling in fascination] I can be as small as that? I wasn't even that tiny as a pylop!

[ You know... twinkling lights were very pretty... ]

[ She spoke as if in a slight haze. ]

You could be as small as you liked...

Okay! Make me small! [he is happy with this but notices she's getting hypnotized and focuses on making sure he's as dim as he can manage]

Oh, that was strange. I almost felt dizzy... for a moment. [ She blinked once, twice... Clearing her eyes of the sparkles which had dazzled her. ] I would love to try. Would being as small as an acorn be alright with you? I'm really not sure how small a pylop is.

That's because my lights hypnotized you. They do that so I can catch tasty food.

[he squishes his eye closer to the mirror to get a better look and laughs]

A pylop is as small as a pylop. I could be an acorn. Will I be all brown and knobbly too?

Definitely! I mean, Crowley shrunk me once so I've done it before. And I'd love to be able to be your size!

Wonderful, I was hoping to invite you over some time and if you have done this before it is bound to be less of a shock for you. Are you in the apartment?

Definitely! And at least this time I won't be in danger of being eaten by a snake.

[She smiles]

Yeah. You in your place now?

[She tried not to bother Mrs. Brisby if she was in her little apartment with the door closed. Everyone needed their personal space, after all.]

Not yet. I was in the castle garden. It felt like a safer place for magic training.

But, how about we meet up in the sitting room? It shouldn't take me too long to get back there. We could have lunch together.

[ If there were points for enthusiasm she would certainly win them! Mrs. Brisby giggled. ]

Yes, all right. Are you ready?

[ And once she received a nod or a smile she closed her eyes and made the wish.

OOC: Up to you if the wish worked correctly or went silly some how. ]

[Good news, it worked!

Bad news - as a result, the 'mirror' falls out of her hands, and almost squishes her. Fortunately she runs out of the way in time.]

[ As the now much larger than Webby mirror tumbled through the air it was difficult to tell what was going on! There were flashes of ground, of Webby, and then... the sky. ]

Are -- Are you alright?

[the fact that he sounds just as excited as Webby is telling AF]

HOLY SHIT, REALLY? YES! ME! DO THE THING.

[ And you acting like a kid! It's pretty adorable actually. ]

Alright, brace yourself.

[ Her little eyes closed tightly and she made the wish, make Richie as small as me. There was a light glow, a bit of magic and...

OOC: Your call on if it worked or not! ]

[he wasn't really sure how to brace himself for being shrunk, but he drew in a deep breath and held it, squinting his eyes shut.

the magic, when it came, felt like the pins and needles that crawled when a foot or limb fell asleep. he squirmed, and then there was a strange sensation, dizzy, almost like falling, but with his feet still planted on solid ground. as he shrunk, he fell out of sight of the mirror, and after a moment his voice carried up, distant but clear]

Well, I'm definitely smaller...!

[from the tone of his voice, though, something was amiss.]

"Being smaller is good. We were trying for smaller."

Her ears twitched as she inched closer to her own mirror as if doing so would allow her to see Richie's situation.

"Now you can't reach your mirror?"

Impressive. Are you able to make it big again?

[mrsbrisby]

Make it big again...

[ Her nose twitched. ]

I knew I forgot something. Um... It should just be the wish in reverse, right?

It should. Perhaps you should at least practice that once before shrinking a person first.

I... probably should have.

[ Unfortunately she had already shrunk one or two people by now. Oops! ]

I could try it on the acorn anyway just to make sure we won't need any help.

[ The tiny acorn in her paw was dropped to the ground as she wished it to grow bigger. And it did! It grew easily back to the normal size of an acorn... then past that... then grew even larger until it would have been quiet easy to see the supersized acorn just by looking out of a window. It grew well over the size of the Main Street buildings. ]

[Forget generating lightning; this is some really unique magic!]

Could you really shrink me that small? Cause I'm definitely a lot bigger than an acorn. And I mean a lot bigger.

I think magic can do almost anything here as long as you can imagine it happening.

[ She held up on that for a moment before deciding to add. ]

If you are willing to deal with the side effects of using magic. Some people do have to suffer some very nasty drawbacks.

But yes, I do think I could shrink you. Would you like to try?

Yeah, tell me about it; it's been a long time since training made me as sore as my first day of magic training here did. Does that happen for everyone?

And sure, I wouldn't mind giving it a try. But I've never been shrunk before, so how do we go about it? Do I need to come over to where you are, or...?

I don't think so. Using too much of my magic tends to make me take a nap. It can be very troublesome if it happens in the middle of some trouble.

[ Thankfully she hadn't gotten into too much of that and there was usually a pocket around for her to ride in. ]

Oh it might actually be easier if you were in the area. I'm just outside the castle, near the stone in the garden. Do you think you can find it?
