Honey I shrunk the apprentices!

I think I have this figured out now. Mostly...

[ She added while adjusting the small mouse sized mirror on a stone so it would be propped upright enough to show what she was talking about then she paced over to stand next to a large acorn. ]

Its Wish magic so all I really have to do is wish for it hard enough and I should be able to make this acorn small enough to fit in the palm of my hand.

[ That said she closed her eyes and held out a paw which began to glow as she made her wish. When her eyes fluttered open again she was indeed holding the now much smaller acorn in her paw. ]

It worked! I mean... I-- I thought it would. I've been practicing this a lot lately and...

[ Just spit it out, she told herself with a deep steadying breath. ]

Would anyone out there feel brave enough to volunteer to be shrunk yourself?

I wouldn't think it would last for more than a few hours.

[ But she wasn't sure. Things you should test before shrinking people... ]

You will be careful climbing things? Oh, and watch out for people's feet! They don't always look where they step.

[Excited gasp as she thinks of more things-]

Oh wow, eating food like this is going to be such a struggle... a fun struggle!

I imagine that will be very strange. Instead of eating a whole muffin you might find you can only eat a crumb or two.

Doll furniture from the Emporium can help a great deal with things like tea.

Wait... do you live in a doll house, or an apartment like the rest of us?

It's a trunk really. The inside looks just like the apartments you all use, like it is a dollhouse version of them, and I do keep it in a larger apartment. Eleanor and I share one together. So it's almost both?

Can I come see it sometime? It sounds so interesting!

You could indeed. Would you like to come over now? We could have some sunflower bread and tea.

Sure, that'd be great!

... Buuut it might take me a while, in this form.

"Oh," she giggled as she imaged how daunting a trip that must seem to some one unused to it.

"Maybe we had better save that for another day then? You should be back to normal in a few hours. I doubt it would last much longer than that."

[woo_oo]

"All right, another day it is!" No need to be deterred! She was still going to have fun!

"Until then, I'm going to re-explore every single inch of this place!"

"I probably should have asked this earlier..."

Some what kicking herself for not having thought of this until now.

"But where are you right now? Do you know?"

[woo_oo]

"I'm at my apartment!" Webby replied. "My roomies are out right now... which is probably a good thing." Come to think of it, maybe Fenton would've freaked out just the tiniest bit.

[mrsbrisby]

"Oh good! Hopefully Fenton won't be to upset..."

She could breath a sigh of relief.

"I was suddenly worried you might have been out in the garden some where. It can be difficult to find your way through tall grass."

[woo_oo]

Brisby, no.

"OH MY GOSH, I SHOULD GO SEE HOW THE GARDEN LOOKS NOW!"

She begins to sprint off.

Oh for the....

"Webby!"

Think, think, think... what would make Martin turn back around a behave? Not mentioning the dangers, he would be certain he could handle anything so maybe...

"Have you ever tried to bounce on a bed when you are only three inches tall? You would be surprised the air time you can get!"

Perfect. She freezes in her tracks, eyes widening.

"I've got to try that!"

[ Mrs. Brsiby breathed a sigh of relief and placed a staying hand on her chest as if that would help soothe the worry away. That had been a very near thing! Who knew what sort of trouble the duckling might have run into outside. ]

It is a lot of fun. Oh, try landing on the pillows too!

[Webby dashes right past the screen again to head for the bedroom.]

I'm going to do a Launchpad-style crash!

[ Wow the kid could move fast when she wanted to! So quickly did she run by that Mrs. Brisby couldn't do more than open her mouth as if to say something before the kid was already gone. She giggled though, it looked like Webby was going to have a lot of fun with this! ]
