You could also say that by applying that thought process, your views on humans and demons as they are wouldn't apply without heavily thorough research.

Eh. I am a demon. Breathers are just newly-deads waiting to happen, so, that's really just research wasted, isn't it?

...Except that, according to your world, you have a unique experience with breathers that demons normally don't have, and are therefore redefining yourself at the same time, don't you think?
