 Hey guys! Been a while, I've been laying low planning some epic stuff and definitely not being overwhelmed by the fact over how long I've been missing my family. EVERYTHING'S FINE.

And in the spirit of everything is fine, I decided to throw my all into a SUPER BANQUET! Sure, the newbies get stuff provided by the town, but why not eat something made by your experienced adventurers? And so I present, the all-together-eating-table!

[ In Main Street, Webby rips off the sheet to a table, revealing... the stuff nightmares are made of. Seriously, nothing looks edible. She... tried, clearly, but she's also clearly veryveryvery new to the whole cooking thing. Some things are burnt, undercooked, too much sugar in one, salt overflowing in another... One must shudder to imagine what the kitchen she used looks like...] 

I'll be on Main Street all day, offering my goodies and my friendship! Bon appetit!

[ Webby squints. Shadow Weaver hasn't caused trouble... so... she supposes she can be slightly trusted, for now. ]

I didn't want to eat food I made for the guests, that'd be rude!

Even someone who is a novice in these matters would try it first to make sure it is fit for the aforementioned guests.

After all, you wouldn't want to potentially poison anyone, would you?

I didn't put any cyanide in any of these!

...I made no mention of you specifically doing that.

[Wait, is that because she actually DID do that]??

However, you looked at what you made and decided it was fit to serve to others without tasting it yourself. This doesn't bother you at all?

[woo_oo]

No, Granny does it all the time.

[ Cause Granny knows what the actual hell she's doing. ]

Have you cooked as long as she has?

[woo_oo]

Well, no. But I've got to start somewhere! And she taught me everything else she knows, so I should be able to pick this up easily too!

[weaver_of_lies]

That is not how that works. Even if you have seen your grandmother do something before several times, it does not mean you can accurately recreate it without finding out if you did the steps right.

If you attempted to do something magical that you've seen someone else execute, do you think you would do it successfully the very first time?

[woo_oo]

... Well, the one time I tried something magical, I think it was going really well! I was feeling powerful, and glowy and cool, and... then Lena stopped it for some reason...

[ She trails off as she remembers Bad Sad Things. She mumbles to herself but it can still be heard. ]

... Maybe it messed with her shadow stuff, or would gone against Magica's plan, or whatever...

That sounds like something you encountered back at home. If you had no real understanding of what you were doing it is best not to jump into magic so quickly. Start small, and continue if you want to do something like that and be successful.

I'm curious. How is your magic progressing here?

[woo_oo]

[ She shakes her head, trying to put away the bad memories for now. ]

It's going fine! I can use my hook to wrap around enemies and give 'em a tight squeeze! They won't get away when I'm around.

[That was interesting].

I see. So you are an assist in battle. What class is that?

[woo_oo]

I'm a Warrior class! They don't get more Warrior-like than me!

[weaver_of_lies]

Is that right.

How would you classify your current status as a warrior?

[woo_oo]

A Seasoned Warrior! I've gone on missions and kicked out a lot of corrosion!

[weaver_of_lies]

I see. How did you manage that?

[woo_oo]

Well, like, one time, I was with Fenton, and we were cleaning up the haunted graveyard, and some corroded plants were attacking us, so I wrangled and strangled them up!

[weaver_of_lies]

So it is safe to say you have a very good record at being a Warrior then. How have you not given instruction to some of the newer recruits?

[woo_oo]

Wow, you really think I'm ready for something like that?

[weaver_of_lies]

If it were merely being a warrior, perhaps not. There are plenty experienced with that. However, magic is an altogether different story, and necessary for anyone to learn.

The newcomers will need anyone that can help guide them to become better at their craft. Certainly someone with your expertise is bound to help.

You know, you're not as bad as I thought you were! Or at least not as evil.

[weaver_of_lies]

Beware, Webby. Evil people tend not to believe they are evil at all. That is what makes self deception so damning. You think you are doing something justifiable, and it is the people around you who call what you do good or evil, based on their personal judgements.

That aside, I am fine not being thought of as evil. I have always merely thought of myself as necessary.

[woo_oo]

Well, that is a step up from people who openly admit their evil and really enjoy doing it.

[ Wayyy too many of those in her home town. ]

But that would really be a bummer to work hard for something you feel is right and have everyone call you evil.

[weaver_of_lies]

I won't lie. In the past I have worked against my world, enraged at the manner in which I was treated, anxious to work out petty grievances. But those things, if executed correctly, come with a toll and they can work against you until it kills you, or you destroy everything out of spite. I do not work against my world, but rather, intend to do what I can to preserve it.

Of course, then I was brought here with no magic, so you can imagine the frustration there.

[How she felt about Etheria was complicated. More a conversation for Missy than Webby].

As you can imagine, my reputation preceded me. No matter what intentions I have, there will always have the suspicion of being evil.

[woo_oo]

[ Webby pauses, thinking about something. Well, maybe SW would know, she seems pretty smart about magic and doing bad things for the right reasons. ]

And... hypothetically... was any of those bad things you did... bringing someone back to life?
