Hey guys! Been a while, I've been laying low planning some epic stuff and definitely not being overwhelmed by the fact over how long I've been missing my family. EVERYTHING'S FINE.

And in the spirit of everything is fine, I decided to throw my all into a SUPER BANQUET! Sure, the newbies get stuff provided by the town, but why not eat something made by your experienced adventurers? And so I present, the all-together-eating-table!

[ In Main Street, Webby rips off the sheet to a table, revealing... the stuff nightmares are made of. Seriously, nothing looks edible. She... tried, clearly, but she's also clearly veryveryvery new to the whole cooking thing. Some things are burnt, undercooked, too much sugar in one, salt overflowing in another... One must shudder to imagine what the kitchen she used looks like...]

It's going fine! I can use my hook to wrap around enemies and give 'em a tight squeeze! They won't get away when I'm around.

I see. So you are an assist in battle. What class is that?

I'm a Warrior class! They don't get more Warrior-like than me!

How would you classify your current status as a warrior?

A Seasoned Warrior! I've gone on missions and kicked out a lot of corrosion!

I see. How did you manage that?

Well, like, one time, I was with Fenton, and we were cleaning up the haunted graveyard, and some corroded plants were attacking us, so I wrangled and strangled them up!

So it is safe to say you have a very good record at being a Warrior then. How have you not given instruction to some of the newer recruits?

Wow, you really think I'm ready for something like that?

If it were merely being a warrior, perhaps not. There are plenty experienced with that. However, magic is an altogether different story, and necessary for anyone to learn.

The newcomers will need anyone that can help guide them to become better at their craft. Certainly someone with your expertise is bound to help.

You know, you're not as bad as I thought you were! Or at least not as evil.

Beware, Webby. Evil people tend not to believe they are evil at all. That is what makes self deception so damning. You think you are doing something justifiable, and it is the people around you who call what you do good or evil, based on their personal judgements.

That aside, I am fine not being thought of as evil. I have always merely thought of myself as necessary.

Well, that is a step up from people who openly admit their evil and really enjoy doing it.

[ Wayyy too many of those in her home town. ]

But that would really be a bummer to work hard for something you feel is right and have everyone call you evil.

I won't lie. In the past I have worked against my world, enraged at the manner in which I was treated, anxious to work out petty grievances. But those things, if executed correctly, come with a toll and they can work against you until it kills you, or you destroy everything out of spite. I do not work against my world, but rather, intend to do what I can to preserve it.

Of course, then I was brought here with no magic, so you can imagine the frustration there.

As you can imagine, my reputation preceded me. No matter what intentions I have, there will always have the suspicion of being evil.

[ Webby pauses, thinking about something. Well, maybe SW would know, she seems pretty smart about magic and doing bad things for the right reasons. ]

And... hypothetically... was any of those bad things you did... bringing someone back to life?

Now that you mention it, no, but as it happens, I was brought back to life.

[ Her eyes widen, and she BOLTS right over the table to get up to SW. ]

You did?! How? What did it involve? What did they need to do it?! Were you lost in some sort of dark shadow plane?

One question at a time.

It involved a princess, one much stronger than the ones here. I had to instruct her, as she had never healed someone before, but she has always been destined to wield that power. It is simply a matter of tapping into it.

Shadow Plane? What do you know of such things, Webbigail?

A princess with healing powers...

[ Did someone like that exist in her world? It wasn't impossible.

But when she was asked, she sighed and sat on the table. ]

Not much, really... It's kind of a long story.

The short version is, a really awful sorceress used her shadow to infiltrate McDuck manor to try and undo a curse on her. But the shadow became a real person, and my real friend.

Yes, and that is rare. She was not even technically from my world, yet she still is drawn to it, unexplicably.

Clearly. Few children would ever feel a desire to deal with "shadow" anything, and in my world, adults mostly follow suit.

[As it would turn out, yours truly was the accidental exception].

A Shadow taking the guise of a person, and longing to stay a person. That sounds...well, I would say impossible, but here we are, two people from different worlds, conversing about the topic. Stranger things have happened.

She was funny, and cool, and kind, and she deserved to have all the best things! And when the curse got lifted anyway and the sorceress was free... she was attacking all of us, and... my friend tried to fight back and save me.

[ And it seems she paid the ultimate price. ]

Ah. I see. You and the Shadow friend are close then.

It is a great risk to rise against the person that made you however. I would imagine if she were made of shadows, one would have to make an equally risky journey into that world to retrieve her, if such a thing can be attempted in your world.

That's fine by me! I'd take whatever risks necessary if it meant bringing her back! She's my best friend! She made me feel special, and we had a bond like... like nothing I'd ever had before! It was thanks to her that I began practicing magic at all!

I'd... I'd do anything for her.

[Hmm. This was definitely Catra and Adora all over again, and Shadow Weaver knew her expertise...was not in that area. That affection, that love was not something that she really understood, not without manipulation and careful words].

And you are positive she is somewhere in this shadow realm?
