 The rose blossom popped open, producing a gorgeous bloom and Crowley glared at it disapprovingly. 

"Not yet! June I said! You're all meant to be blooming your brightest in June... It doesn't mean a thing if you do it early."

The rose dutifully folded back up to conserve it's strength for June as Crowley looked back towards the mound of cupcakes he had sitting on a table in his temporary workspace out in the castle training gardens. This sort of work couldn't be done inside... not when you were going as big and as flashy as he was. With a snap of his fingers the cupcakes turned into a much larger golden clad pillar of a cake. 

"Hm, might be too much 'golden throne'.'

He tried again and this time the cake was even larger with so many spires and decorations it almost looked more like a model than a cake.

"That's very 'cathedral'." Crowley frowned and tilted his head at some of the decorations, "Not sure about the little cherubs. I mean once you've met one they lose their charm... More modern maybe."

Crowley snapped his fingers again and this cake looked like it had flying flowers cascading their way around the center cake.

"Should it be all white? Nothing says a wedding cake had to be all white. I could add a touch of spice!"

And once again the cake transformed. This time into something black and red with a touch of angel. As he stood back admiring his work Crowley caught sight of a flash of light. His mirror was sitting out on the table and had apparently been capturing the whole display. His frown deepened instantly as he rolled his head in dramatic fashion but collected the mirror to do a touch of damage control.

"So I'm looking for a cake design, it's no big deal. I had thought it would be secret but... since it's not. Lydia, up for a job in June?"

[Anyone who expected Sylvando to not be excited abut something like this clearly doesn't know him at all. Sure, he's been fairly certain it was bound to happen sooner or later, but that's not going to stop him from giving a squeal of delight when he sees the news accidentally broadcast on the mirror.]

There won't be one at this wedding. I'd kill some one if there were a murder at this wedding. There is only going to be cake, brides maids who trip over each other trying to grab the bouquet and a distinct lack of holy rice!

Since it's obvious enough where Crowley is, Eleanor just fucking storms into the garden. She stops and plants her hands on her hips, staring at Crowley.

"Well? Do you maybe have something you forgot to tell your favorite human?"

The quick way she had stormed into the garden, the hands on the hips, the set of her jaw... He was in trouble. Only good thing about it was she wasn't a demonic Duke of Hell.

"Uh... yeah... Well, you know how it is! One thing right after another, first you are a werewolf, then an angel, and... little things like mentioning wedding plans tend to be forgotten."

"Yeah... the angel thing was really fucking weird. Of course I was a squid at the time so weird is kind of relative... but that's not the point!" She waved a hand. Stop distracting her, asshole! "When the fuck did this happen?!"

Lydia watched the rest of Beetlejuice and Crowley's conversation as long as she could stand it. When Crowley squeaked that he was too old for her, that was pretty much enough. She closed the mirror with a sigh and put on her Adult Face, heading out to the gardens with her notebook.

"Sorry about earlier. That wasn't very professional of me. ... I should have congratulated you, first."

He shrugged as his own Professional demonic face slid into place. Aloof. Cool. And secretly screaming from joy.

"It wasn't a very professional request. I should have called, made an appointing with the big business woman."

He smirked just a little bit, as all that hidden happiness had to go some where so it might as well be directed at teasing.

"Have you ever done a wedding before?"

"Big business woman, right," she laughed, rolling her eyes - though she did blush just a bit at it, as well, since it dawned on her that it was what she was now. Gosh. When had she let that happen? Sixteen and running her own business. Weird.

"No, the biggest things I've done have been the parties here: the fairs, Halloween, Christmas, the Valentine ball ..." She looked around the garden thoughtfully. "But that's no reason I can't do it. I've seen Mom and Dad's old wedding pictures, so I know the photographer always takes a bunch of different ones of the wedding party, and formal ones of the ceremony, and then a lot of candid stuff at the reception. Is there anything specific you and Aziraphale had in mind? Are you going to need a picture for invitations?"

He sees this from afar in the library and decides, well, he's been here almost religiously and practically kept to a schedule. They owe him a break really. This in mind he closes up shop, metaphorically speaking, and takes himself to the bar to do a little noon-time drinking that may well spill over into the evening. Though not too far into the evening as he will have to return home relatively sober. It will be fine so long as he paces himself.

Well while this isn't the first time he's been j'accused in his very long life, he hadn't quite expected Eleanor to show up and begin pointing fingers. Oh, he knew obliquely what she was referencing-- or could imagine, he supposed. But over a bottle of very fine brandy-- well, serviceable brandy.... in a pinch -- it stung more than it ought. He gave her a bland smile.

"I'm afraid you'll have to get at the end of the queue for that one, my dear. And unfortunately it's a bit long so I hope you've brought a book."
