First there were all those apples, and now there are pumpkins, some with faces carved into them, all over the place. Not to mention that the whole town- [And one of the ghosts pass by, just out of the corner of her eye but in clear view of the mirror.] Seems haunted...

Is this something normal for this place?

It does. You just seem very excited for autumn, that is all.

The Island I grew up on didn't have fun stuff like this even for the rich assholes in the city, and even though we traveled a lot on the Grand Line, every island has a different season, and catching festivals of any kind is really hard when you're not sticking around anywhere!

At least you get to stay put for this upcoming festival. Apparently it is called Halloween, and it has to do with candy, costumes, and all of this. [She waves her hand to indicate the pumpkins and ghosts.]

Yeah! I know Halloween! It's in my world too. Not yours?

Never heard of it until today. There are harvest festivals, similar to the one that we had a few weeks ago, and Halloween seems to share a few of those elements. But, the other elements like the costumes and ghosts are not part of any festival in my world.

I don't know if ghosts are real in my world. Probably. But yeah it's a whole death and monsters thing! I think there's something for kids, but I forget what it is, like I said, my home island wasn't this much fun. So mostly my crew used it as an excuse for costumes and pub crawls.

I was told that children basically run around getting candy. [Though she is not sure why.]

And it looks like my roommate is stocking up on candy as well.

Sounds legit. Your roommate has good taste.

Luffy would get a huge kick out of this. But all I'm gonna do is the booze thing like usual probably. Unless you wanna sight-see some of the stuff with someone who's also dead?

I already seem to be surrounded by the dead.

[And another ghost goes by as she says that.]

It is a bit unnerving...

Though can you say that we are truly dead anymore? We both breathe and need to eat, drink, and sleep. And I am pretty sure that we can bleed too. Those are the signs of a living person.

So the portal brought us back to life, but in another world??

But we'll die if we leave here, right?

It seems that way. But that still does not change the fact that we are alive again.

In a way we are. You could say that this is a second chance at life for us.

Or would you rather be in the After Life?

Nope! I just was thinking -- [Well, he knew Luffy and his crew and Otama would be mad at him and miss him, but maybe Rose didn't have that assurance. So he just smiles.] Let's make this second life even better than the first one, yeah?
