[ The Doctor sat on the ground, his chalk coated fingers working over a drawing he was making on the pavement. Some of those who passed by tossed him a few coins as he did seem down on his luck with his baggy ill-fitting coat but he didn't pay them much mind at all. ]

You know what the trouble with magic is? It's so very capricious! It does more what it would like to do than what you would like it to do!

[ But he stood up, paced around his drawing and gave his new magic a try anyway. ]

Though only made of chalk you may be,
A little magic could set you free!

[ He watched closely as the chalk drawing on the ground did absolutely nothing! Finally the Doctor huffed, dropped his 'Tah dah' hands to his side and moved over to collect his mirror. ]

Oh well... can't win them all can you? I only thought to check in, see how you are all doing after that adventure. I should probably mention a friend and I have plans to go out again and take another look around. No need to worry if you don't hear from me for a while.

[ Suddenly his arm was tugged, jostling the mirror and the Doctor himself who turned to face a giant pink alligator with a green tutu. One of the drawings finally come to life. ]

You're late!

[ The alligator shrugged as the marching band made out of various sizes and types and colors of animals started to play an upbeat tune which seems to go well, encouraging both alligator and Doctor to dance along with the band, until a rabbit with a top hat broke ranks and snatched some carrots off a market cart. And a dog with an Oboe smashed a cat with a violin over the head with a stolen pumpkin. Then the happy little parade turned into a frantic food fight.

OOC: Feel free to have your characters caught up in the fray if you'd like to. ]

Hey!

[Eleanor picked up one of the apples, standing up. ]

Watch where you're throwing shit you big ape!

[Then she threw it... At a big ape. What the fuck had her life become??

When she crouched back down what he'd said sank in.]

Water? Shit... Of course it had to be water.

Water why would that... oh, I see... Yes, I am sorry about that. After all the rain.

[ The big ape caught the apple in the back of the head and angered he did what any good ape would do, picked up a barrel of bananas and tossed them high into the air. ]

Oh no! Incoming!!

Shit!

[Eleanor suddenly had regrets.

But no time for that. She grabbed the Doctor but the front of his jacket and yanked him out of the way of the falling fruit.]

No! My element is water, dingus!

[She stood, surveying the scene in front of her. It seemed like all the animals were in the same area, now that the turtle had come back from retrieving his drum. ]

Maybe...

[She bit her lip, thinking. Could she fix this?]

[ The barrel smashed into the pavement where they had been hiding spilling it's load of bananas all over the place. ]

Is it?

[ He sounded surprised but may well have known that... after all it didn't really fit into his bumbling idiot facade if he went around pointing out he had noticed and hoped she might just use her powers to clean up this mess. ]

Well, maybe you could... I do hate to suggest it, but a rain storm might just do the trick.

[Manipulative bastard.

Except not.

She looked back at him, giving him a little nod.]

Okay. Okay, yeah.

[Turning back to the chaos in front of her, she squared her shoulders and took a deep breath.]

I wish for rain?

[She didn't mean to make it a question. Shit. She was still getting the hang of this. She wasn't entirely certain of herself and her abilities, yet.

Still, a smile creeped across her face as clouds formed above the crowd. They darkened with the oncoming storm. There was a low rumble of thunder that echoed through the streets. ]

Yes! You see that! That's what I'm talking ahhhhbout?

[Eleanor's cheer faded as the first flakes began to fall. Snow. It was snowing. ]

[ One might have said adorable scamp!

But which ever it was he held out a hand to catch some of the 'rain' as it drifted lightly down to the ground. ]

Well, that's wonderful!

[ He practically danced around her as the snow fell to the Earth, lumping up in little mounds and drifts. ]

Mind you the orange farmers won't thank you for the cold snap nipping at their crops, but this is just the thing we needed!

[Eleanor isn't nearly as enthusiastic about this turn of events. The Arizona girl wrapped her arms around herself, looking a little gloomy. ]

Wonderful? This isn't what I wanted at all!

[There was another low rumble as the snow continued to fall. The animals looked up curiously. It wasn't as effective as rain but the flakes slowly began to wash away the chalk.]

But, snow it very close to rain! And look!

[ He pointed enthusiastically towards the partially melted band. The snow turned to water when it landed on each animal and the ground was far too warm to support it for long. Puddles began to form like traps that swallowed up any creature foolish enough to splash into one. ]

It's working!

[Okay, watching a cat flail as it disappeared into a puddle of water was hilarious.

She smirked, watching the chaos slowly disappear in the snow.]

Hey, yeah, it is! Not to bad, if I say so myself. [ Her last words are lost in a yawn. ]

Oh dear.

[ The Doctor scooted closer to take Eleanor's elbow. ]

If you are thinking about sleeping I think we had better find some where warmer than this snow.

Now that's the best idea I've heard all day.

[She smiled tiredly, letting him help her keep her balance. Who knew? Calling a snow storm was tiring work.]

I was on my way to work, I can take a nap in my office.

Work yes, that is at the Emporium, isn't it?

[ He acted as her guide to lead her over the the rather large and impressive building. ]

And your office would be... which direction?

[ He had to ask once they were inside the shop. ]

Yeah.

[She idly wondered how he knew. But figured he knew so much that it only made sense that he'd know that.

Once they get in, she looked around. She'd only been working there a short time, after all. Finally, she pointed.]

Uhhh it's that way.

[ Oh he paid attention to thing and it did help he was often out on the streets entertaining people. One did get a good idea where people frequented when you saw them walking to and from work every day. ]

Oh, good... not too far then.

[ Only some where near the very back of the store... The Doctor helped her back there, giving the door a little kick with his foot to send it swinging open. ]

That office chair looks safe enough!

[ This was what he walked her over so she could have a good rest. ]

I do thank you for the help. Those creatures were rather more rambunctious than I thought they would be.

[That does help. She'd noticed him busking in the street before and wondered if that was really how he was making a living. To be fair, there were worse things to do. She smiled, letting him help her to the chair.]

It is. I've taken a few naps in it already.

[She shot him a smirk. The hand written "Do not disturb unless something is on fire" sign on the door was a pretty good clue that she was telling the truth.]

Hey, thanks. I'm kinda surprised it worked. I haven't done anything that big before.

It does look comfortable enough for naps.

[ Oh, the sign was a nice touch! He hadn't noticed it on the way in but then he had been busy making sure neither of them ran into the doorframe. ]

I'm glad it did work. I don't know what I would have done with those creatures if it hadn't.

[ He probably would have thought of something but that spell had been very helpful! ]

Well, I have better go and make sure they have all melted and, leave you to your nap, of course. Thank you Eleanor.
