What is this Midsummer Night's Dream? Should I strike a pose?

[Whether he should or not he did! And with an appropriately 'garden' type backdrop and sank into a soliloquy.]

[He snorted a laugh before holding up his hand upon which two different rings were battling it out for a place on his finger. An inexpensive black ring with a single white diamond sat beside a more expensive looking black ring encircled by white diamonds.]

Bizarre and damned annoying monster transformations aside I actually have one of those odd married persons questions. You have the wedding ring and the engagement ring... do you wear both? Pick one? I feel like I should set the first one aside, in a jewelry box or something, but it's kinda special. Not that the other one isn't! But the wedding ring hasn't been magically blessed like the smaller one. Opinions, go.

I think you'd start with the wedding ring when you're engaged, since that let's everyone know how bombastic your Fiance decided to go with their affection on a mutually agreeable ring. After you get married, typically you then wear the band now, the engagement ring now set aside for the purpose of showing you are in a committed relationship. hence the bands.

It does seem a little arbitrary though, depending on who you talk to.

Mm, and what if one of them is magical? there any rules about magical engagement rings?

Mmm, mildly magical. It helps during 'monster time'... tends to make things easier to deal with.

Where would you get a ring like that though? Someone magically created something to suppress the transformation? Why wouldn't all monsters want that item?

[ Momentarily his mind blanked. Friend? That term wasn't nearly dear enough. Sweetheart... was too sweet. Husband. That was a good one but some how still seemed too squishy. ]

It works using his own Princely powers so its not like he could make very many of them. He would pass out when they all activated at once. It's hard enough on him just with me some times.

Also, I would go with a joke about you monstery types being ‘horny’.

Fortunately there is a easy cure for that.

The only thing I've gored is a few door frames and a sofa... Mostly these antlers have been good for nothing but a pigeon roost.

[ Crowley barked a laugh so hard he nearly fumbled his mirror. ]

I should have seen that coming, really! Must be a thing, married life... it's making me miss the obvious already.

[He smirks, amused at the display. Good to know he's still got it. But when Crowley presses him he shrugs, idly waving a hand. Fine. Make him be the smart one.]

Depends on what traditions you want to follow, if any. Some say to put the engagement ring on top of the wedding ring. Some say to wear the engagement ring on the same finger of your other hand. Some say to only wear one.

Me? I say do whatever the fuck you want. Who the hell cares?

I'm not familiar with any of the traditions. I never really bothered to look into it... not with humans inventing cars and movie theaters. Which were much more interesting than interpersonal relationships or wedding traditions!

Anyway I didn't think I would follow the rules, just learn what they were so I could break them.

[He wasn't certain if they'd ever officially met, but he'd gone to his wedding because it seemed like the place to be.]

[his feathers are fluffed all to pieces when he sees Crowley. There is no reason for this. Absolutely not. Whyever would there be a reason? Since the full moon seemed to not entirely effect Crowley this time around, Aziraphale had taken some time to get things...finalized.]

I wonder, darling, if you could meet me in the Tiki Oasis? I know it's a bit erm.. late in the day... [he looked at him and then away and then puzzled his fingers together] But I wanted it to be absolutely perfect.

[ Oh, hey honey. Crowley smiled dreamily as his Shakespearean skills were turned to Aziraphale and his white feathers which fluffed for no reason what so ever. ]

I'm not busy, just mucking around with Shakespeare and the mirrors. What did you have in mind? Late night folic in the tikis?

[ Crowley arrived about ten minutes later, the time needed to leisurely stroll from Main Street to the Tiki Oasis. Though it occurred to him after he arrived that he wasn't sure where to go after that, so he wandered around through the bazaar looking for clues. ]

[really what? He has no idea what that devilishly arched brow may be implying. Not that he could dare look.

After a moment a pearlescent bubble containing a single white feather will come find him, brushing him on the cheek as tenderly as a lover. Then it will lead him and his impressive rack to place known strangely as the Tower of Adventure, but inside there are suites instead of daring traps or risky escapes.

The bubble will pop in front of one near the top floor and the feather will become a silver key that drops into his hand.

On opening the door he'll find a sitting room at first, with a fire going in the grate, dressed in blacks and reds and smooth jazz playing softly in the air.

The bedroom door is open letting out a stream of warm light. Do you dare go in?]

Engagement rings were a fairly new thing back in my world, but I think most people wore them along with their wedding ring as well.

Very recently. You were invited... along with everyone else in the Kingdom you probably shouldn't have been. I wasn't in charge of the guest list.

So that was what that invite was for. [She literally tossed it as soon as she got it.] I tend to avoid weddings like the plague.

I do not think it is meant to be flashy, but to show that you are not favoring one ring over the other.

I've never gone to one before either but it was sort of difficult to avoid this one.

[ Not that he had wanted to avoid it. He very much wished to go through with the deal! ]

You don't think wearing two rings is flash? Eh, since they are both black they do sort of blend into one another.

Most rings tend to be simple in design. The only time I had seen rings be flashy is when it involves a noble couple. In those cases, the rings are more about displaying their wealth, rather than be symbols of love.
