Well, I can report that this appears to be just ordinary mirror glass, I'm no closer to understanding how it works yet.

Intersting. I was expecting some kind of technology to explain the so called magic effect.

I can't say I was aware of anything while I was dead, so I can't really speak much to an experience exactly.
