[When the mirror turns on, Eleanor sighs, looking off to the side towards the window. She hates this but people should know.]

Mrs. Brisby went home. She's with her kids, though, instead of risking her tail in this place. So, uh, that's good, at least. I, uh, just wanted to let everyone know.

[She sets the mirror down, thinking she turned it off. It catches another sigh and her sadly muttering.]

Another roommate gone... figures...

[he comes in with two big bags from the Emporium looped over one arm, the other prepped for hugging as he moves through the strangely empty living room to come and find her]

Hey ...

[the look of sympathy on his face shifts to one of slight confusion]

Spring ... wardrobe change? ... That was usually much more Tahani's thing...

[Ignoring the bags, she moves to give him a hug.]

Nope. Uh. You're moving in.

[Wait... That wasn't how she wanted to do this. Shit!

She pulls back, a little flustered as she tries again.]

I mean... I want you to move in. If you want, that is.

[for the second time that week, only with hugs this time:]

Wait, what?

[Shit. She's fucking this up already. Part of her is screaming to slam on the brakes and laugh it off as her just teasing him.

"damn the consequences."

Crowley's advice carries over that screaming voice, nudging her onward. She takes a breath, stepping back, but keeping one hand in his.]

Think about it. I'm down a roommate, you sleep here half the time anyway... I... I want you to stay.

[he trails off, staring over her shoulder into the distance as he realizes what he was about to say. 'like soulmates'. 'like you and Chidi'. 'like Jason and Janet'. 'like Crowley and Aziraphale', even. his eyes fill with tears and he swallows hard. for once that strange feeling below his ribs doesn't hurt or distress him ... it just fills him up until he can't stand it. even more than the first time she said she loved him, too. his next words come out warbled and watery]

Oh, Eleanor, really? For good?!

[When Michael gets weird she almost bails again. But she sticks it out, determined to make something good happen. And she's absolutely sure this is good.

Once his thought train reaches the end of its track she smiles and nods. Stepping closer, she wraps her arms around his waist. ]

He doesn't even have words, so he just wraps his arms around her and hugs her tight, resting his head on hers in the way that just fits, before leaning down to kiss her in a way that hopefully says exactly how much this means to him.

"Yes. Yes, of course I will. Oh, Eleanor, I ... Just when I thought you couldn't make me any happier..."

[She closes her eyes, breathing a sigh of relief. She hadn't even realized how nervous she'd been about asking him until that moment. But there they are. He's actually moving in.

This is a good thing... right?

Then he kisses her and she knows it is.]

[he draws away, grinning, then his eyes widen in shock as he remembers -]

Oh! And I'd brought you all this stuff to cheer you up, too! Now I guess it'll just have to be a celebration ...

[he takes the bag and holds it out to her] Here!

[Oh! She'd totally forgotten about the bag. She laughs, shaking her head]

Hey, okay, why the fuck not?

[She takes the offered bag and starts pulling things out.]

[the first bag contains a bag of dark chocolates, a bottle of tequila which has a label designed to look like a prescription, a container of rimming sugar in case she's out, a bottle of margarita mix... and a DVD box set of something called Tiger King]

I figured I couldn't go wrong with classics.

[Eleanor's smile gets wider and wider with each item she pulls out of the bag. She beams at him, absolutely beside herself with joy.]

[there's only one thing taking up the other bag: a blue and white yarn blanket with a tag on it that says Basic Stitch Yarn Company]

[She extracts the blanket from the bag, looking it over with slight confusion. A blanket? Sure, it's in the colors she usually wears, but it's a little weird. Then she sees the tag and busts out laughing.]

Holy shit that's awesome! Michael, I love it.

Couldn't resist. Roy's been going crazy because I didn't want you to see the stock until I could give you one. [he beamed, pleased that she enjoyed it just as much as he'd hoped she would]

Wanna hit the couch and break it in, roomie?

[She laughs, swatting at him.]

You shit, as if he needed more of a reason to be annoyed by you.

[But she didn't care. She had a boyfriend who loved her and they were going to be living together. She pressed in close to him and smiled, reaching up to tug him down for a kiss.]

I'll make it up to him, promise. I might even take one of his shifts so he can go take his kid on the Jungle Boats now that they're cle--

[oh. kisses. he done good. he gave her one of those low, gleeful chuckles in the back of her throat and scooped her up, bags of swag and all]

I love it when I get to pick up the trash.

[Her turn to be interrupted. She meeped as he scooped her up, though it quickly devolved into laughter.]

Michael!!

[She tossed the bags aside, keeping the blanket between them as she wrapped her arms around his neck.]

Well now that you've picked me up, what are you going to do with me?

Well I figured you'd want to watch the new thing. It looks super sleazy. But if you'd rather do something else, I mean - I've got nowhere else to be...
