[The Doctor is in his carriage as usual-- but somewhat unusually, he seems to have had change of clothes. Behind him are a loving couple dressed similarly, hand in hand and enjoying their ride through Main Street. The only difference between them and everyone else is that they tend to be on the taller side. Also they're dead.]

It seems we have a few visitors here. [his breath fogs in the chill air and a drizzle of rain falls against his hat] It's tempting to be frightened, but don't be. As you can see it's just another stage of living. They're just out to have a good time. Right?

[he points the mirror back and they wave. One of the women blows a kiss.]

In honor of our guests, hot cocoa is available for anyone who wants a ride, just to keep your hands and stomach warm.

[he gives a somewhat wicked grin]

[but then she runs up and he grins at her. Bananabread snorts in welcome, twisting to receive his pet before shaking the pumpkin bells on his harness.]

In order to get cocoa, you need to ride. [he steps down and holds out his hand to help her up]

Always! [Pets and nuzzles Bananabread and gives him an apple left over from the festival and giggles at the bells, so cute.]

[And hops up next to the Doctor instead of the carriage.] Wotcher!

There's my girl. [a smile. He gives her his black scarf to keep her warm against the chill and then clicks his tongue at Bananabread to go ahead as he pours her cocoa from a thermos] Marshmallows?

Please, ta!!! [Cuddles, wrapped up in his scarf, she literally could not be happier!] Hundreds o' Dimension jumps, probably about a two years span, not counting all the stuff I had to fast forward, and you know what I never got even one o'?

[Lydia shows up not long after, with a trio of ghost girls her age in tow. they're dressed like most of the Kingdom residents, and their ghostly smiles seem recent, as though they're still remembering how the expression works]

Hi, Doctor! Room for my new friends and I?

Always room for more. [he steps down to offer his hand]

Care to introduce me?

[she hops up, then holds out her hands to help them up, too, introducing them in turn]

This is Gertrude, Ophelia, and Delilah. Ophelia really wanted to see the horses because she said she used to help out in the stable. ... Hi, Bananabread!

[without preamble, she climbed into the front of the carriage to lean out and offer him an apple slice.]

Ladies. It's a pleasure. Ophelia you're welcome to the stables any time. I'm the Doctor. Here to help.

[Though he's not doing much helping at the moment, only pouring them cocoa and one for Lydia too. Bananabread takes the apple slice with a wicker of thanks and begins to plod forward again]

How's it going, Lyddie...eeea? [nice save]

[she laughs] I guess Rose already told you, huh? Not long after you left, the other day, Crowley came up and said the chef at the candy shop was looking for someone to help him make Halloween billboards. Guess who got the job??

That's a horrible riddle... [Gertrude says, rolling her eyes, one of which falls out of the socket. oops. Delilah is a good friend and tucks it back in for her with the air of someone who's been at this for a WHILE]

[ Crowley looked at the couple, fairly certain that as they had been in the process of sharing a kiss this was a moment they would rather not have shared and then he looked back at the Doctor. ]

If you can't be more discrete that that its a wonder anyone ever rides in your carriages... ever.

[ Secretly thinking ~ A carriage ride with some hot cocoa would have been a good idea but if that had that been he and a friend of his... the angle would have turned into a pile of goo and melted through the floorboards. ]

[ They do! The Emporium was full of masks for sale suddenly and he had no doubts they would be sold out come Halloween. ]

Nah, a bit slow carriages. Don't you ever get bored following a horse around all day?

Ladies. [he tips his hat at the ghosts and then gets off to help them down. Then he helps a portly old gentleman ghost get in and hops back himself]

Do you ever get bored with mindlessly selling candy to people who will forget your name by the time they get off their sugar high?

Yea. [ Crowley didn't even blink at his answer, not that he ever did blink much. ] Not really challenging is it, tempting people to buy candy... [ Which said to him the Doctor must also be bored. ] Why do you keep doing it?

Well, at least these ghosts do not appear to be the vengeful type.

[Though seeing them act like any other living being is a bit disturbing.]

They seem part of the town if anything. [he touches the brim of his hat to a family of spirits gliding by, gazing adoringly at a living child]

Have much experience with spirits?

Way too much experience you can say. And those spirits were anything but nice.

Yeah? Were you a ghost hunter? Or an exorcist of some kind? Or do you just buy and sell haunted houses?

None of the above. I had just come across various haunted places in my travels in my world. One being the Death City.

[Leia waves back to the ghosts in the carriage via the mirror.]

I want some hot cocoa! Lydia said it's really good, but I haven't gotten to try any yet.

And I'm not scared of the ghosts either.

[OK, maybe she was a little scared at first. But now that she knows they're mostly friendly, it's all good.]

Good. [a grin] Come on down, pigtails, and I'll have some ready for you. With marshmallows even.

[Leia grins right back.]

[She then closes the mirror to get ready, and in short order is is dashing out the door to the apartments to meet the Doctor, wearing one of the black cat hoodies with ears that the Emporium had been offering awhile back. It seems to be about a size too big, even though it was probably the smallest one they had, but the effect only serves to make it look more adorable.]

[he laughs as he sees her, hopping down to lean down and scratch between her 'ears']

Hey, kitty-cat. Want some milk? Climb aboard. [he holds out his hand to help her into the driver's seat]

[She's about to hop into the passenger area, but then sees the Doctor offering her a place in the driver's seat and breaks into a broad grin, accepting the hand up and plopping herself happily in driver's seat next to him.]
