Apprentices. Your help is needed in the Kingdoms. Someone is...murdering the Citizens of Main Street. It, will be dangerous but well, you all have something the citizens do not.

[Figment's head pops up over Dreamfinder's shoulder.]

Yeah! You guys have a got Sparks! And a whole lotta of 'em too! Plus, we have enough Sparks saved up from your mission to bring back two more Kingdom Spirits!

[Dreamfinder smiles, resting his hand on Figment's head (more a comfort for himself than the little dragon).]

Please keep your eyes open- I need to get things ready for the next step in freeing the Bayou- but....I can't do it without you. So please, be careful.

Yeah and let us know if you find anything!

[He gives a gentle smile before shutting off the feed, Figment waving until the screens return to whatever they had been on before.]

Hi. My name is Malcolm Bright. I work with the police back home and catch killers for a living. I'm willing to offer whatever help I can to try to catch this killer.

[ A pause. ] But.. I'm new here and I don't have any sparks. Is that going to be a detriment to my investigation?

He's becoming just as bad as Merlin and Hades now, Malcolm. He won't respond to you.

[bitter teen girl? her? NOOOOO. at least she only sounds tired and deadpan as she's gluing a picture frame together... the task she'd been interrupted doing]

Anyway, you don't need Sparks to catch a murderer... But you've at least got one, or you wouldn't be here. It's what makes Apprentice magic possible. At least, that's how he explained it to me when he still actually talked to us all.

So the bigwigs don't take questions anymore? [ Lydia's body language screams that she's upset by this. It wouldn't take a profiler to see. ]

Magic is probably what I'm going to have to work on most here because I definitely have no basis for it back where I come from. It's not real there.

It's weird. Sometimes they do, sometimes they don't. If they'd tell us what they're up to when they don't, I'd feel better about it, you know? But all they say is they're busy, and I don't know if they're trying to actually do something about the Corrosion or ... or ... I don't know. My best friend, he has this big conspiracy theory about it all, and I guess he's just getting in my head. I hope that's all it is, anyway.

But ... that doesn't matter right now. If they need our help, that's what we're here for, right? [she's trying really hard not to let being upset and confused get in the way. especially since he just thanked her, and she kind of lives for that stuff. knowing she's helpful.]

It's kind of my job as a Princess, you know? Healing, helping, that sort of thing. And magic isn't as hard as a lot of people think it is. I've had a lot of time to think about it, and ... it really just comes down to willpower and being able to visualize whatever you imagine. If that helps. Since you're a hero ... maybe think of that cool sword of yours as a focusing point. I know that's what most of them do.

[ He nods slowly in agreement. That is what they're here for, whether they like it or not. Malcolm can tell that she's trying to put on a positive attitude though. He's no stranger to doing that from time to time. ]

It sounds kind of like yoga, actually. Is that a weird reference to make?

I'm not sure. I don't know very much about yoga ... isn't it ... sort of like really slow aerobics?

Kind of? There's a whole mental component that goes along with it too, about being intentional and living in the moment. Then there's the breathing as well.
