Okay, I'll admit: this is pretty cool. 

( In the mirror is a teenage girl dressed all in black. Her gothic-style dress is obviously handmade, down to the pins on the collar, and her black hair had recently been dyed. She wears a plastic choker and lace black gloves,and finally ties the look together with her dark lip gloss. This girl knows exactly what her style is. )

My name's Lydia. Lydia Deetz. Though, I know there's another version of me here, so that might get confusing... ( She wears a thoughtful look for a second, weighing her options. ) Since she was here first, makes sense for me to have a different name. I don't usually have a nickname, but - well, only one person-slash-dead-guy has called me Lyds, but I'd be okay with others calling me that, if it makes things less confusing.

If it helps: the Beetlejuice that's here is from my universe, not the other Lydia's. Oh, and I'm the Lydia who killed him. ( A sugary-sweet smile with a little wave, suddenly sounding perhaps not the most sincere. ) Looking forward to meeting everyone and saving the world and such!

( Lydia narrows her eyes. ) Since when do you know when my birthday is... or give gifts that aren't jump scares?

[He made a bored, "bring it on" sort of gesture, then, tilted his head and huffed, crossing his arms.]

I don't....I only know when other Lydia's birthday is, and no one remembered it, which is pretty suck-tac-u-lar. So, Sly and me planned a party for her. Well, okay, so Sly planned the party and I was in charge of the cakes. Hers bled when it was cut.

[A pause.]

Anyway. While I was shopping for her gift, I saw a thing and bought it. Just in case I could take it back with me or whatever. If you don't want it, I can always give it to her or maybe Nerdling might like it. I dunno. S'not a big deal.

[Beetlejuice drummed his fingers anxiously against his arm. Obviously, it was a big deal, a very big deal, and...he was trying very hard to play it cool and failing miserably.]

( Lydia made an unimpressed look at his gesture, then crossed her arms when she listened to him continue. At the mention of the bleeding cake, the edges of her lips turn upward. ) That's pretty cool. ( She'd always wanted a gorey cake... maybe she could convince Barbara to make it for her next year.

She was silent for a moment. Lydia probably should be suspicious, at least a little bit. The last time she met Beetlejuice was the day of her coerced marriage-slash-his murder. But... she had missed him, and since he killed his mom for her, it stood to reason that they were cool now. Her family would hate it, of course, but what they didn't know couldn't hurt them in this universe.

Anyway, Beetlejuice was being so obvious, Lydia couldn't help but smile amusedly. ) Fiiine. Since you're mister Guide, you know a place we can meet up? Maybe grab some food while we're out, I'm starving.

It's surprising that I'm the first one. I'd think with so many universes colliding, maybe there'd be a lot of different versions of people here, right?

( Lydia gives Other Her a delighted grin. This is one of the first instances where she talks to someone her age and doesn't feel like a freak. Of course, the fact that it's another version of herself, yet markedly different, helps.

She wrinkles her nose at the question. ) Ugh... fairy. You too, or did you get something different?

Nope, I'm a Princess. ... But a couple of my best friends here are fairies! I think you'll really like Eleanor and Fenton, they're great. Oh, and there's another fairy, but ... he hates being called that and gets super offended. Fairy magic can do some super cool stuff, if you can concentrate. Did you see the giant book in the lobby, the scrapbook by the stairs? That was made with fairy magic. I've just been filling it with pictures.

Woah, really? The guy with the beard told me that Fairy magic is "elemental", but I guess it make sense that you can make stuff with it, too. Oh! You have a Polaroid here? Do you think I could borrow it sometime?

She's also one of the nicest people here, but that's more of a bias on my part.

Ha- strangely that's a phenomenon that I'm not entirely unfamiliar with although I think the circumstances must be wildly different.

[For a time there had been another-him here, but Yugi had long since departed from this kingdom. It was a pity in a sense, because Atem did miss him but it had been a treat to get to see him at all after a period of time where that shouldn't have been possible.]

If you're really another Lydia- then the implications... [Are that there could be innumerable parallel dimensions out there] Does Lydia know about this? Er- the other Lydia? [It wasn't hard to tell that Atem was a little flustered] You're not planning on killing Beetlejuice again are you?

There was a green card wedding, a very real attempted murder on my part, and....okay, so, I did deserve it. But, the fact remains that situation isn't likely to happen again, because, I actually do learn from past experiences.

To a degree. Considering how dedicated BJ was to Lydia now, it was hard to believe his past infractions.] Everyone makes mistakes. [His tone ended up sounding more like a question than a statement when it pitched upwards] .. those mistakes don't always involve attempted murder, but I have forgiven such offenses from my past transgressors as well.
