Welcome, newcomers to the Kingdoms.

I'm Seto Kaiba, and I'll unfortunately be your host for this month's announcements. Someone's head is in the clouds because he's just been married, but here's what he would normally tell you.

Welcome to the jungle. If you have any sense you're not literally in our jungle yet, you should wait to explore beyond Main Street until you've at least trained on your new abilities. We'll be holding a training class for those soon.

Once you've done that, you'll be joining us to clear out the corrosion throughout the various lands that have fallen to The Darkness. Use the buddy system, it'll keep you alive. No, you don't actually have to make friends if you're not that kind of person. Just grit your teeth and stick together. Despite appearances most of us are willing to lend a hand.

Other things to look out for...if you're in the Monster class, you'll be undergoing a strange transformation that changes slightly every month on the full moon. If there's someone you're close to, it's usually safe to be around them, but you might want to stay away from others for the night. There are other curses that befall the rest of us once in a while---if someone's acting wildly out of character, that's likely what happened.

There are a couple kinds of tea that are really good for sleep. And keeping your room cool is supposed to help you fall asleep faster, too. If it's really bothering you ... I know I can do sleep spells, and I've been learning Gross magic. I could try to make you something that would help.

My roommate needs things warm. But I'm curious about how you'd use Gross magic?

Well, that's how most potions get made. So I'd just make you something to help you sleep. They dont taste gross when they're done ... just ... don't ask me to hand deliver them. The side effects on the mixer for a few hours afterwards aren't pretty.

[a pause, as it occurs to her that she doesn't know...]

Oh, it doesn't hurt! [she shook her head, quick to reassure him] I mean - literally, not pretty. I look like a storybook witch for a while. I try to do any potion stuff right before I go to bed, so I can just sleep it off.

Oh- ha... let's hope it doesn't come to that. [Not quite sure precisely how Kaiba meant that to be taken. It wasn't as if Atem didn't think highly of the angel, but he wanted it known that he still preferred Kaiba to remain true to himself. He was the one that Atem had fallen for.]

[.............. Or had Kaiba been referring to matrimony? Cheeks darkening a bit, he assured himself that he had 100% read too much into that perfectly innocent comment about personalities] Having completed your good deed for the day- I think it warrants some sort of reward, don't you?

Since it's your reward, I'll let you choose. I'll rearrange my schedule if needed but it's actually fairly light today.

How about a stroll around the oasis? A picnic...maybe we can even camp, if you're feeling adventurous.

Why not do all three? [After a brief pause and a pointed look] I'll see if I can find some bug spray. [Totally a reference to the aforementioned excursion to that futuristic section] ... and some other supplies of course. [It should be a rather pleasant experience, and he already felt himself looking forward to it]
