[the thing about all this is? He's smart. Too smart now to take anyone at their word. Everyone lies. Everyone obfuscates. The truth is usually something in between. But he's heard of a train station and that was where he was going. He had a bag packed with some supplies he'd stolen from the apartment and a carving knife he'd found-- just in case.
It felt better with it anyway, even if it gave him a burst of cold fear and a sick, queasy feeling.
It was just nervous anticipation. A typical human response.
The mirror falls out somewhere near the train station and activates, will see a shot of him from the ground, approaching the place, startling at every noise, his knife flashing out as his fingers clench around the grip.
He approaches the train station, feeling the strange heat build, coughs once, twice, then disappears into the train station and out of the mirror's view.
Don't worry, everything will be alright.
...Probably]

Date: 2020-05-09 12:43 am (UTC)She can't help the hiss that escapes her the moment her paws touched the ground. A familiar warmth fills her little body as she looks for the boy.]
Child? You shouldn't be in here.

Date: 2020-05-09 01:06 am (UTC)And it was getting hard to breathe. He coughed again, searching about for something to cover his mouth with but found nothing. He tried breathing shallowly instead, and nearly jumped out of his skin at the voice behind him.
There is nothing but a cat. A big cat, but not big enough to be dangerous. He didn't think. He couldn't tell if it was domesticated or not. Most importantly he'd heard the voice but didn't see anyone.]
I'm not afraid of you.
[his voice is calm and he doesn't brandish the knife.
At least not yet]
Re: action
Date: 2020-05-09 01:12 am (UTC)It's alright. We won't hurt you. Promise. But we have to get you out of here before - [cough] You breathe too much in.
Re: action
Date: 2020-05-09 01:16 am (UTC)But her safety isn't important. She steps towards the boys, bright yellow eyes focused completely on him.]
You may not be afraid of me. But you should be afraid of what's beyond that door. I went out there and it nearly killed me.
action
Date: 2020-05-09 02:01 am (UTC)isn't this fun? the memory of Dad's voice echoes softly but there's a sneer behind it. The knife wavers as he takes steps back, closer to somewhere where he can lock them out. He coughs more and his eyes sting but he ignores it.]
You're not real. You're not real. You're not real.
[they were just delusions. Fantasies. Night terrors. Like the girl in the box. They didn't exist. A part of his mind was scrambling for attention. He wished it would shut up. His heart was racing so fast he could hear it pounding in his ears]
Go away!
Leave me alone!
[he knew logically that shrieking wouldn't make the illusions vanish but the shrieks came out anyway]
Re: action
Date: 2020-05-09 02:09 am (UTC)Please, we promise we won't harm you.
[A cough and if he doesn't come this time around they're going to have to just take him]

Date: 2020-05-09 02:25 am (UTC)Trying to sound calm and kind, she steps even closer to the boy. Ignoring that knife, she keeps her eyes on the frightened child's face. She hopes the Doctor will understand, if the boy won't come willingly she might be able to drive him back to where the Doctor can pick him up.]
I assure you, we're very real. This is just what the full moon does to some of us in this place. That's the Doctor, and I'm Missy. We're trying to help you. We won't leave here until you do.
[She tries to stifle another cough. They don't have much time...]

Date: 2020-05-09 03:55 am (UTC)What--
And then that large hand was coming for him, looming up out of the darkness.
A scream rang in the air and there was a solid satisfying thunk vibrating up his arm as the knife found home in the creature's shoulder. His eyes widened as a memory slammed through him-- no, a feeling-- something deep with terror that it seemed to leak out of him and spin into existence in the air.
Then in a split second it was over and he dropped to the ground, nothing but darkness behind his eyes]

Date: 2020-05-11 11:14 am (UTC)Missy's body shudders with the fear coursing through it. This is bad. Really bad. They're running out of time and now the Doctor is wounded...
Thankfully, fear can be a great motivator.
Missy decides to use the feline body to her advantage. Pulling on her monster strength, she launches forward, hitting the Doctor in the middle of the chest with her paws. Her intention is to drive him back towards the door.]
You're no good to anyone, wounded.
[Growling, she grabs the collar of the boy's shirt in her teeth and pulls him towards the exit.]

Date: 2020-05-23 03:55 am (UTC)That knife isn't made of paper and you know it. Don't be an idiot. You'll have to get that looked at.
