[ The magic mirror displayed a scene of total chaos. A horse’s cart was halfway up a tree, in flames, and the horse that was meant to be the engine for the thing was running around loose sending people scattering off the sidewalks as it thundered by. Crowley held the mirror and looked back at the scene before walking away. ]

That could have gone better. Probably goes without saying I’m not going to be a carriage driver...

[ A small pause while the cart exploded and someone in the background screamed. ]

Anyone heard of--

[ He was suddenly interrupted by a little angry man who shouted after the demon, something about a wrecked cart, but it was difficult to hear anything but Crowley’s replies. ]

Pay you? You ought to be paying me! Like it’s my fault the horse doesn’t like demons! You never once said the horse doesn’t like demons!

[ Crowley waved the man off with a less-than-polite gesture and crash landed grumpily onto the nearest free bench, though with the panicked horse running wild most of the benches were empty. Most of the street too. People had piled into the nearest building which just so happened to be a candy shop. ]

As I was trying to ask before I was interrupted, anyone else heard of any other job openings? Not having the best of luck with it... I would have done fine as a driver but that horse--

[ He was interrupted again before he could continue. Crowley snarled as he turned to glare at this new distraction but in doing so he ended up dropping his magic mirror. ]

-- Hours Passed before the Mirror flared to life again --

[ Unsurprisingly it was to bear witness to another scene of chaos this time one of children and their parents frantically snatching up every boxed or bagged candy they could lay their hands on while one demon clad in uncharacteristically in white and sporting a lovely red striped bandanna carefully watched over their every action from behind the counter. ]

Everybody in here better be buying something or you are going back outside and trust me you don’t want to be out there with that horse still on the loose!

And yes. They call her Strawberry, but Moonchild is her mother's name for her. Born in spring under a full moon.

[the horse nickers again and tosses her head]

Yes, but are you just saying it, or do you mean it?

Hallo. [Finger waggle. Rose was going to ask if the horse's parents were hippies, or mention that Strawberry was a much cuter name, but she is not the rude one.]

Maybe you should do the carriage rides, yeah?

What do you like for treats? [Asking the horse directly, because she is obviously a smart mare.]

Moonchild whinnies at the question, lightly pawing the ground with a fore hoof]

Sugar, she says. But an appletini in a pinch. That's a bit of horse humor.

Are horses really allowed to have sugar?

[Yeah, no, she still doesn't believe him about the knees, so it makes it impossible to joke back about them.]

I have not. I assumed it was like giving cats milk. Only done in cartoons.

I mean it's not healthy, but it can be done in moderation.

[he's not an equine doctor by any stretch but he's known a fair few.]

Now... Are you ready to go torment someone in a very silly way?

["Invite Michael, as torture is his thing," but it's been a long time since Rose and the Doctor did stuff together like this...]

[She remembers when he said he'd take her alone on adventures, without Mickey, after Madame du Pompadour. Ugh. Maybe Rose didn't do rebounds, but the Doctor sure as hell both did, and needed to. Then they lost Mickey to Pete's Universe anyway.]

Either record it, or get Michael in on this. New moon has him all emo, but he'd probably cheer up for something this fun.

Sure. [he had thought it would be their thing, but maybe it's better to have others along] He might enjoy it.

[he takes out his mirror and flips it open]

Hey, Michael. Do you want to play fancy dress and lightly torment a rude ginger?

[he's toweling off after taking a post-couch-funk shower, but thankfully mirrors only show so much. especially when one leaves them in the bathroom. there's just steam and fog for a moment, before he picks it up and swipes it clear, squinting.]

Doctor! I just found out the funniest thing. Did you know that my glasses aren't just to make me look smart, anymore? You're actually all fuzzy. But light torment sounds like a great way to bounce back from the new moon. That's very considerate of you! I do have to warn you, I've never actually worn a dress. So that could go either way.

[guitar_hero]

You should try it sometime. I'm sure you've got the knees for it. [grin] But it's basically "Brit Speak" For dress up. Like my lovely companion here. [mirror on Rose]

Oh! Wow. Hi, Rose. That's a new look. So what's the actual torture that goes with it?

Singin' and dancin'. Like karaoke but dafter.

[he grins, putting the mirror face down on the counter so he can get dressed. no show for either of you]

That's not the one about the candy shop and the lollipop, is it?

[yeah his humans are awful influences]

[Points to illusion lollipop that is actually a broom, but looks like a lollipop.]

[She might have a completely different one in mind.]

Wait. Hold on. [he holds up a hand]

How does yours go? [because it's too vague to assume it's the same thing]

[he pauses, trying to remember how Eleanor and Jason used to sing it, then goes full out Rex Harrison on it]

I'll take you to the can-dy shop, something something with the lol-li-pop ...

[a shrug] I remember just enough to fake it, basically. [hopefully] But I can backup dance.

[he does a bit. not well. but he does.]

[Look at how cute it is!! Rose just gestures, this will be perfect.]

[he opens his mouth, sees Rose's gesture and how pleased she is with it, and closes it again]

Perfect. Meet at the Candy Shop in...ten minutes?

[takeitsleazy]

Ten minutes, it is.

[and true to form, he does indeed show up. he's even managed to make his bow tie match Twelve's, only blue. he's still a little light-headed from it, but he chalks it up to working magic in - you guessed it - less dimensions. it couldn't ever be that he's dizzy because he used AIR for it. nooo.]

So what's the plan?

[bigbadrose]

[Dances along, skipping and singing.] Do we wanna practice run or just jump straight in?

[guitar_hero]

Jump straight in. We don't want anyone getting suspicious. [he holds out his hand for a group brofist] Now let's get in there and give someone a serious dose of second hand embarrassment for no reason whatever.
