It seemed the polite thing to do so he did indeed wave for the mirror as that glitter swirled about him, magically shifting in color if it came in too close.

"I hope you are all having a wonderful day."

He was... but once he was himself again that was going to change very quickly.

She danced back before his aura of effect could mess with her aesthetic. She was watching the glitter as a warning for the size and shape of his new aura of change. "Oh yes please, wave. Smile. Dance even if you want." The more embarrassing, the better.

The aura was pretty closely defined to touch so the pink glitter could swirl around him all it liked but if it should land on any part of him then it would find itself bleached pure white. Mal would only be in danger of aesthetic altering if he went in for a hug.

"Dance?"

He laughed as he did do just a bit of a spin in the glitter. It was like snow!

"But, there is no music!"

"Are you really so boring that there is no music playing in your head?" she asked with a grin.

Hey, she's not taking chances here.

Angels didn't really dance. It was a thing angel's in his world tended to avoid. Demons however, did dance... in a fashion. It wasn't very good dancing but it was filled with spirit. Crowley had been both so after a moment's thought he did indeed give dancing a try. It wasn't much of a dance as it consisted mostly of flapping his wings and moving in time to some unheard soundtrack but it looked something like this.

Oh puppies, this was the most cringe worthy and the most embarrassing thing ever. She was loving knowing that she was recording this all. This was so perfect. "Encore!" she cheered, laughing maliciously.

[Atem had actually run into Crowley earlier so the sight of him was not nearly as amusing or or shocking as it might have otherwise been. There was something else that had caught his attention however...]

Ah~ I would know that enchanting voice anywhere.. [Emitting a longing sigh. It felt like forever since he had last spoken to Mal directly.] Won't you at least grant us a glimpse of your fair features?

He waved off the idea before coming up with one he felt was even better.

"Join me! You can flap your arms in place of wings."

[She knew that voice as well, and where he couldn't see she was giving the back of the mirror, and thus her hand, a very odd look.] "Yeah.... maybe not, you okay there?"

[They hadn't spoken since the sleeping spell. Well, since before it. It had been a while now and she wasn't quite sure this was the best way to start talking again. And Crowley certainly wasn't her preferred audience.]

She laughed. "Oh no, one of us has to work the mirror. Besides, watching you is so much more fun."

I hope you know now, when the B-man asks if you’ve seen someone? It’s for a reason like this.

...want some schadenfreude-corn? It’s like popcorn, only instead of salt, we use the suffering of others.

"Maybe when I watch this on replay, and fine fine, giving you your due, this one is pure gold. Or, I guess, pure prissy goody-goody white."

[He was absolutely preening at the mild praise. Straightening his tie and smoothing lapels, pleased.]

"We have a deal then. Tell Lydia she's invited too of course."

"You could set it up on the bench over there."

He bobbed his head towards the bench like she needed the direction of it pointed out.

"Come on, I know you love to dance."

[He raised an eyebrow at her choice of words. A deal? If he were a lesser demon, she could have found herself in a great deal of trouble.]

She's always invited.

Let me rephrase: I was going to invite Lydia regardless.

"As you should. And now if she sees this, she knows we both were." [And that matters, being invited, being wanted matters.]

“As I’ve already told Lydia— you’re the living friend, I’m the dead one, it’s not a competition.”

[There was the faintest hint of worry in his tone, a few wisps of yellow creeping into the green. He’d promised Lydia it wouldn’t be a contest, that he wouldn’t fight over her.]
