Hey, has anyone seen or heard from Dreamfinder lately? The last few times I dropped things off for him and Figment, his door was closed and I had to leave them on the landing. But it isn't just that.

He's supposed to keep Main Street safe, and after what happened to the people who went to the train station ... I'm really worried. He should have been there. I hope he hasn't gone missing again ...

I was wondering the same thing myself, honestly. I tried to reach him through the mirror, but he didn't answer. I don't think he'd go running off on his own willingly after what happened last time, but that's far from reassuring.

[Because that means that if he is missing, he probably didn't end up that way willingly.]

Yeah, exactly. Especially after the Sandersons ...

Maybe we should go looking for him?

I'm all for that, darling, but it would be helpful to have some idea where to begin. There are only so many places someone could hide here on Main Street, but when one considers the jungle as well, or even the still Corroded land we've been doing missions in recently, that's quite a lot of area to search.

Ugh, you're right. ... I mean - not that I'm upset you thought of it. You're always so smart when it comes to things like this.

Is there any way we might be able to narrow it down? ... I wonder ...

Well, all the more public parts of Main Street- like the shopfronts and such- can be safely ruled out. As well as our apartments, and the back rooms of any shops one of us has access to. And Corroded areas are a lot less likely, simply due to the hazards involved; it wouldn't hurt to keep an eye out for any sign of him while on missions there, but searching it thoroughly could probably be put aside for the moment, unless some new information crops up.

Though that unfortunately leaves the jungle, which is practically tailor made to be able to hide things.

You're so smart. And even if he was in a different shop, the locals would know and say something, I'm sure.

[unless, some dark, quiet part of her thinks, they don't like what he's doing bringing us all here and want him to stop. she shakes the thought away. she's a princess. she's supposed to trust and help people. and they saved Main Street from the Sandersons, they've proven they can do something for the locals]

It hides things from us. Leia had a good suggestion of talking to the animals and the bugs to see if any of them have seen him. I bet they'd be able to cover the jungle a lot better than we could, even in sections or groups.

[Even if they were so dissatisfied, Dreamfinder is far too reasonable a person for Sylvando to believe that any of the townspeople would feel they needed to resort to kidnapping to get their point across. Or that they wouldn't have seen some indication of it before.

For now though, he nods both at the notion of the jungle hiding things and at Leia's idea.]

That's a good idea. After all, no matter how you slice it, there are far more of them than us, especially the smallest creatures.

I hope not too. Maybe we should ask around the castle? See if anybody's seen him? Or if he did go somewhere, if he told anybody where he was going?

Yeah. I'm hoping that if he was really in trouble, Merlin would tell us, like he did last time... I'll check around some of the stores, see if any of the locals have seen him, if you want to ask at the castle?

If Merlin knew for sure he was, I'm sure he'd tell us.

{The fact that he hadn't either meant that he wasn't in trouble... or that Merlin was as much in the dark as the rest of them. Needless to say, Leia hoped for the former option.]

And yeah, you do that; I'll ask the people at the castle. And I'll ask the mice and things too; they might have seen or heard stuff that the people didn't.

[as Lydia's logic went, if Dreamfinder wasn't in trouble, it meant he hadn't been able to stop the Corrosion, and that ... didn't jive or sit well. if a Kingdom Spirit wasn't strong enough, what chance did they have? as optimistic as Leia wanted to be, Lydia was already mentally preparing for the thought that they'd have to go and find Blair again. the poor guy. her heart went out to him: he cared so much, and had been trying so hard. something like this happening would cut him deep.]

That's a great idea! I'll ask the bugs. ... Hopefully one of us will hear something good.

...If Mr. Dreamfinder is in trouble though, we'll find him and save him. And then give him and Figment hugs and cookies.

Who is Dreamfinder?

Do we need to mount another search and rescue?

He's a Kingdom Spirit, like Merlin and Hades, only he specifically watches over Main Street. He's also a brilliant inventor, and he and his dragon Figment live up over the clock shop ... they're supposed to help protect Main Street from Corrosion and ensure it doesn't reach us here.

But if he's gone ... if something happened to him ... I don't know exactly what would happen, Rice, but it really wouldn't be good.

Alright, how do we go about finding him?

I've been talking to a couple of my friends about that. Some of us can speak with animals, so we're going to try asking them to help, since they can cover areas like the jungle more easily than we can. There are corroded areas up on the Mission Board, so anyone who goes on a mission can look for him out there ... Other than that, I'm not sure. Still thinking. But if you have any ideas, that would be great. ... Honestly, even you offering to help means a lot, Rice. Thank you.

I cannot think of a reason I wouldn't offer myself to help. Would you want to go on a Mission to find him? I can't say I understand the magics of this place particularly well yet, but I've a good sword arm and big ears for listening.

I can think of a Doctor I could drag along with me, too...

Sylvando made a good point: the jungle is probably our best bet. So maybe ... if there are any missions on the board that follow the bayou up the jungle side? Then we'd still be helping the Kingdoms and keeping an eye out for him...
