[At first Hel was indifferent when her roommate unceremoniously disappeared. She had tried to convince herself that it really didn't matter and now she could do with the room as she pleased. That had included a little redecorating- though it hadn't required much since her aesthetics and Jack's had not been so far removed. As she looked around now at the room that was bathed in a mix of purples, blacks, and pinks she didn't really feel pleased by it.

There was something missing.

Something skeletal.

So with a shot of her new furnishings in the background she turned on the mirror and huffed out a sigh that was audible for all to hear]

Does anyone still have any decorations left over from Halloween? I think my room could use one skeleton.

[In some backwards way this was her manner of telling the populace that Jack was gone while also trying not to appear overly sentimental]

That's a load if I've ever heard one. ( of bull, that is. she shook her head but raised her brows when hel actually ... confessed to her. ciri hadn't exactly expected that from her. she smiled though albeit more sympathetically than anything else. )

Hel, it's alright to miss someone that you grew accustomed to being around. Do you want some company? I may not be as brilliantly chipper as he was but I am willing to be there for you.

[If Ciri didn't want to be shot another look, she was going about it the wrong way. It made it worse that she was on the money here. Sure, Hel was trying to mask he more sentimental side but it was clear that she had failed to do so on two counts now.]

[It wasn't alright, at least not to Hel. It denoted a weakness in her and she hated to admit that she had any] What's to miss? Now I have all this space to myself as it always should have been. [If it had been anyone else, Hel likely would have tried to throw her roommate out to start with, but she had an affinity for the deceased, skeletons inparticuliar] I guess you could come over and help me finish up... [The work was already done, it was the company she was after]

( ciri wasn't afraid of her looks. she grew up with yennefer, hel was going to have to try a lot harder to strike fear in her with a look alone if she wanted to feel intimidating. hel wasn't fooling ciri at least. again, having grown up with yennefer ( and to an extent, geralt ) had made it so she was fairly capable at reading people whom thought they were fantastic at hiding things.

surprise, surprise hel. it was time to learn that she was just as vulnerable as others. ) Uh huh. ( did she sound like she wasn't buying it? good, 'cause she wasn't. ) No problem, I'll be there shortly. ( the work was sorted but she assumed that was a cover to keep from admitting she did want the company. ciri gathered herself up and headed to the goddess's room. once there, she knocked on the door and waited to be let in. )
