Clever people may notice he's added another ring, silver and black on the fourth finger of his left hand as he folds them in front of him and beams. More than his usual polite interest, his eyes are shining and he looks positively radiant and may, in fact, be glowing just a hair.

When he speaks, his voice is like warm honey]

Hello, I'd like to take the time to welcome all the newcomers to our lovely little situation. It may seem odd and even frightening to be so far from home. You may feel overwhelmed by the task ahead of you and that you may not be able to accomplish healing the corruption that has blighted this land. But I can assure you, it's possible. Some of it has already been cleansed and purified.

How, you may ask?

Why, through our efforts. As a unit. As a group. A team even. Everyone has value and worth here. We are all able to contribute. And there are many here who would help you and guide you to settling in. Finding your way. I'd call upon Lydia if you needed a ready mind and an open ear. Or Eleanor or Richie if you wanted someone to drink and commiserate with. Michael is always splendid to talk to. If there are any children among you, Webby [goodness, what a name] and Leia are wonderful playmates. [so he assumes]

And there are plenty of others here to help.

As for me, I am your local librarian. [his grin widens as this is very new and not even Crowley knows it yet] The selection here is rather small and limited at the moment,but feel free to come in and browse and check out [his wings twitch a little at that] at your leisure. But do see the books are returned in a timely manner. After all, I know where you live. [a smile as if it's a joke]

To that end, I am offering a slight commission for any one who can bring me a book that they find in the wilds or wherever. If you're interested, please take stock of what the library already offers. I'm not interested in copies of mundane things here, but other sorts of books. They don't necessarily have to be non-fiction, but any sort of spell work, spell craft or magic theory that you can find I will pay top dollar for. And also limited or first editions.

[he is not sure where he'll get the top dollar, but nevermind]

[he is not remotely serious, and he hopes she isn't either. When she arrives though she is ushered into his office where he has several leather bound books (bookmarked) on his desk and a bottle of tequila with two glasses.

He smiles at her as she comes in]

Thought we could do a little celebrating the new job. If you've a mind of course.

[She's... Mostly not serious. I mean, really. He's just adorable and she's flirted with Crowley enough. Fair's fair.

When she sees what's on his desk she smiles.]

Definitely! A new job is a perfect reason to celebrate!

[She plops down in a chair and reaches for the bottle.]

I'll pour the first round.

Of course this is only temporary until I can gather enough funds to open a bookstore. [he settles back, letting her pour as she will] I prefer not to be beholden to anyone. Save for... [an upward gesture]

But for what it is, it's a splendid place to begin.

[She nods, pouring a healthy serving into each glass.]

I feel you. I'm not big on working for anyone, either, but money is kind of important.

[She hands him one of the glasses, holding up her own in a toast.]

But what about you? Do you have any future plans for this place? Aside from [hand wave] fighting corrosion and all of that.

[She shoots back the tequila out of habit. Then sees that he only took a sip and looks a little sheepish. Pouring another glass, she leaves it on the table for the moment, determined to drink it more slowly.]

Plans? I don't know, I haven't really thought about it. I mean, I'm gonna keep spending time with Michael and hanging out with my friends. Maybe help out with training. But other than that? [She shrugs] Dunno. Why?

Oh I don't know. You humans can be so experimental! So spontaneous! Move with the wind and all of that. I find that if I don't have a set goal, I go a little mad. I do enjoy an end result.

[She laughs. Oh, Aziraphale.]

I dunno, I bet you could be a little spontaneous if you really tried. But what goal are you working on now? Or is it just this library thing?

Oh no... well I hardly want to say more but... We do have dreams one day of... making a sort of life here aside from saving everything.

Of course I know it's only temporary. We must all return one day from whence we came. [though with any luck, Crowley would remain behind]

And I don't really enjoy spontaneity. Going for a surprise picnic is one thing but altering the course of ones life with a snap decision is another.

[She smiles warmly.]

Yeah, Michael wants that. I mean, I guess I do, too? This is kind of a second chance for us outside of everything.

[She gives him a look. That includes you and Crowley, too, Azzy.]

Oh c'mon! You don't know excitement til you rage quit your job, picked a bar at random and partied so hard you wake up in a stranger's bathtub in a hotel in Vegas.

[Just her? Maybe.]

[he pretends not to see it. But he can't help but feel a little sympathy for that joke. He knew it was her making light of a bad situation and knew she had lived a hard harsh life.

He slipped an arm around her shoulder and gave her a little squeeze]

I think I'll pass this time around. I'm not fond of sleeping in bathtubs.

[Yeeeaaah.

She laughed, leaning into that hug.]


Nah. You seem more like a jacuzzi kind of guy to me.

[She gave him a wink and lifted her drink to him before taking a sip.]

Oh! Do not remind me. I haven't been in one in ages. Mind you I was just testing it out to see how far into sin it would lead one and, I would be given to say fairly far. Those jets are particularly insidious.

I thought nothing could top the bath houses of Rome but I could have used a good bubbly jet back then. You know. To blend in. Can't have a smelly angel now can we? [he smiled and sipped his drink and looked away]

[She laughs, grinning at him.]

And I just can't imagine you smelling bad. Like. At all.

Though if I were fully manifested you might not even notice a smell even if there were one.
