[Leia thought long an hard before picking up her mirror. Both about whether or not to do it at all, and once she'd determined to do that, what she was going to say. And before she picked it up, she made an effort to make herself look as 'official' as possible, like her mommy did before giving a speech.

Thus, when she appears on the network, her dress is clean and mostly wrinkle-free, her usual pigtails have been exchanged for a more 'serious' single braid down her back, and she's sitting as straight and tall as she can. She takes a deep breath and begins.]

Some of you probably know me, but others of you might not. My name is Leia Organa, and I'm one of the Apprentices that was brought here to help fight the Corrosion. I'm also a Princess, back home and here.

A lot of stuff's happened the past day or so and a lot of it is still happening. I won't tell people not to be scared, 'cause it's a scary situation. Things are dangerous, and probably will be for awhile. But I am asking that everybody do what they can to help. Not just us Apprentices; everybody. Because when things are scary and dangerous, that's when people need to stick together and help each other the most.

Everybody who lives here has been doing a great job of that already. Even when bad things are happening everywhere else, you've worked hard to make sure Main Street stays a nice place to live. No one and nothing should be allowed to take that from you.

So I'm going to do whatever I can to help. I may not be the biggest or the strongest, but I've been practicing my magic, and I'm ready to use it to help anyone who's been hurt by what's going on.

[She gives a nod, indicating the end of her speech.]

OK; I'm in my room. There's a bunny here too that I think might really be Mr. Aziraphale, but I think he went under the bed. Or else he might have flown away when I went to get more lettuce.

[she's about to tell her bunnies can't fly, but then - if it's Aziraphale - well. she'll scoop up a few celery and carrot sticks from the fridge, and a red pepper - along with some trail mix for the two of them to munch on - and head for Leia's room, knocking with everything tucked into a black crocheted mesh bag hanging off her arm]

Leia? It's Lydia.

[They can fly if they have wings, and this particular bunny does.

When Leia opens the door for Lydia, there are no rabbits, vampiric or otherwise in sight.]

Hi, Lydia. Let's go in the bedroom to talk OK?

[That way if Mr. Jose or Maxim wanted to talk to someone they could have the living room.]

Okay, sounds like a plan. ... Is that where the rabbit is?

[he sounds SO GREAT and she really just wants to pet a vampire rabbit, because life goals] I brought some food - for it, and for us.

[princess_weia]

[Leia nodded.]

If he's anywhere in the apartment, he's there somewhere. Though he might have gotten out before I closed the window.

Okay, lead the way.

[she'll follow Leia into the bedroom, making sure to tread quietly so they don't startle the bunny]

[She heads into the bedroom with Lydia. There are no rabbits immediately visible, but a few of the lettuce leaves she had left on the bed show pairs of small fang-holes and are withered and white. Leia puts them in the wastebasket before sitting on the bed herself and moving the remaining leaves so Lydia can sit too.]

Thanks for coming over, Lydia. I know Princesses are supposed to be inspiring, but I'm gonna need help to do more than that.

[she peers curiously at those albino lettuces]

And I'm happy to help. We need to come up with a way everyone can plan on how to take these witches out, but .... even with the small number of Apprentices we have, it might be dangerous to all meet in the same place.

Yeah. The problem is I don't know how else to tell everybody something at once if we don't use the mirrors or have a big meeting.

I might know a way. Where I'm from, when I was little, they'd use it at school cancel things when the weather was too bad for people to come in. They called it a "phone tree", but we can do it with letters, too.

[she thinks about this a moment]

We train in groups, right? ... What we do is, we send a letter to one person in each of the groups, saying that they can come up with a plan for what their class can do to fight. And then that person talks to everyone. And lets us know.

[it's a good idea, but it's all going to fall apart once Atem wrecks everything. at least through the magic of slowtags we know things are still okay! yay!]

[Yay slowtagging being useful for something!

Leia considers the idea, though.]

I guess that could work? I've never really written a letter before though. Almost nobody uses paper for sending messages any more where I'm from, but I haven't really seen anything like datapads around here, aside from the mirrors.

That's okay. I can help you.

[she pauses. she's not being judgemental, just trying to figure out how much help is required, so she asks gently] Does that mean you learned how to read, but not how to write? Only how to use the datapads?

[princess_weia]

[Leia huffs slightly.]

'Course I learned how to write. We just don't use paper for it; we use a stylus on a pad or plasfilm. But I don't think they really have those here, like I said.

[Writing things by hand wasn't common in her galaxy, but most school children still learned to do it, just in case.]

Leia, I'm sorry, I didn't mean to offend you! You're really clever. I just thought maybe you typed, instead, like we do on the mirrors sometimes.

[she wonders idly if plasfilm is anything like acetone]

Anyway, we'll figure something out! Promise.

It's OK. Most people do just type things a lot of the time, but I think most kids still learn to write by hand too. I know Princesses definitely have to, because there's some official royal stuff that still has to be signed or written by hand.

[And if Lydia is ever curious, she can get Leia to magic some up. She'd find that it was actually similar to various kinds of acrylic plastic, but pressed into hair-thin sheets.]

But yeah, we'll figure something out. It shouldn't be too hard.
