Another Big Announcement [Video-backdated to just after the Valentine's party]

 [Sylvando once again appears on the network, looking as cheerful as ever..]

Hello, everyone! The Great Sylvando here, with good news to report! Cleaning and repairs to the Opera House are going along swimmingly, and she should be more than ready for opening day. But the even more exciting news is that that opening day now has an official date!

The Grand Reopening of the Opera House will be on the Sunday following the close of the Food and Wine festival next month! And what sort of show would be fit for such a grand event? Why, a show where anyone can be a star, of course! The opening day performance will be a Kingdom-wide talent competition. Do you sing? Dance? Play an instrument? Can you get an audience rolling in the aisles with your jokes, or astound them with feats of prestidigitation or acrobatics?

Well don't be shy, darlings! Now's your chance to share that talent with the world. And I don't just mean my fellow Apprentices; I'm sure all you citizens of the Kingdoms out there are just bursting with talent!

There'll be some lovely prizes for the best acts, so keep an eye out for sign up forms! I'll be setting them up at a few locations around town; they'll have a bit more information about the rules and the like for those interested, and you can fill them out and drop them off before the festival starts if you'd like to participate.

But if you don't think performing is for you, never you fear! There's room for you at the Opera House too. I'll be looking to hire not just performers for the regular shows, but also stage hands and general staff. Feel free to inquire at the Opera House or contact me if you're interested.

I attended Julliard. I can do anything. Sing, dance, sit on stage and say things to make the audience increasingly uncomfortable---you tell me what you need.

While it would be wonderful if you did perform, you certainly don't have to. I want the performers to enjoy the show as much as the audience, after all.

The commission I had in mind actually makes use of your other artistic talents. You see, a number of the opera house's sets and backdrops are looking rather the worse for wear. Definitely not ready to show an audience. So I thought, since you have experience painting on walls and the like that you might lend a hand in refurbishing them.

I'd pay you for your time of course this is a commission, not a favor-, but there's really no one I'd rather have to the job.

What you do is entirely up to you, darling. The point is to get a wide variety of different acts. Though for the sake of fairness, you can only have one performance slot, so use your time well.

Well if you're looking to be hired on permanently as a performer, you'll need to audition. Though the talent show could serve well enough on that front.

Getting a position as general staff is far more straight forward though. If you'd like, you can come down to the opera house and we can discuss it in a bit more detail in person.

It would be lovely to hear you play, Connie darling! Though you'll have to find other accompaniment for the talent show, I'm afraid; it simply wouldn't do for the host to help out one performer and not the others, you know?

And of course I'll provide the paints, darling. Would you like to drop by and get a look at what you'll be working with- and on- before you start? That way if there's any specific shades you'll need that we don't have, we'll be able to stock up.

Nice try, honey, but one slot means one slot; if you want to create duplicates of yourself to perform as a group, you're welcome to do so, but you would have to perform together.
