[The feed clicks on, showing a slightly-anxious looking Fenton. He’s fiddling with his tie in his hands, and – if one is looking closely – there’s a sort of sadness around his expression as well, although he’s trying to hide it, offering the camera a weak smile.]

Ah. Hello, everyone. I don’t often make announcements like this, but... I figured in this case... [It was important? He was the first one to know, so it naturally fell to him? Fenton didn’t know how to end that sentence, so he shrugged, then took in a deep breath.]

For everyone that knew her... Webby’s gone back home. [His smile faltered, then grew a bit more nervous as he chuckled softly.] She’s okay. She was missing everyone back home, and had a lot of things to do, there... I know she wouldn’t want anyone here to be sad that she’s left.

[A small, contemplative frown this time, for a second, and then another shrug, looking aside.] And... you never know. She might come back. She might not, but... well... that’s the way this place works, isn’t it? [He reached up and scratched the back of his head, continuing on in a small voice.] Even if we haven’t had any examples of something like that, yet.

[He cleared his throat, and faced the camera again.] So... ahh... that’s all I wanted to tell everyone. Thank you. Sorry. um... [He reaches up to turn off the feed.]

(He has no clue why he feels like shedding tears upon seeing Fenton's announcement, but Harry is feeling sad for Fenton over Webby's disappearance. He hasn't met the girl, but still...)

Oh, Fenton... I honestly have no words to describe this right now, but I'm really sorry that your little friend has gone back home. Now I didn't meet her at all, but I could tell that she must be a good friend of yours. Erm, is there anything I could do to help you? If you need to chat, I'm at work in the Emporium right now.

[Lydia doesn't even bother replying over the network. she snaps her mirror shut with a stifled cry, lets herself have a moment for her own tears, then swipes the back of her hand over her eyes and makes a beeline for Fenton's room. the sweetest duck in the Kingdoms is all alone and has no right to be, so she just lets herself in and wraps herself around him in an incoming Gothic blur]

Though honestly, she's probably safer back home with her family than she is here.

But if there's anyone that can save her, it's probably Webby. She's a lot tougher than she looks, and would never give up on a friend.

In this case it is less about being tough and more about bein able to access the shadow realm.

Still, wherever she is I am sure she appreciates your faith in her. I wish I could have had access to the books from home, personally.

She was the first person to ever treat me like that. Other people here have been nice to me and helped me a lot, like Lydia; she even made me some clothes since I... can't exactly buy most things off the rack around here. But I'll still miss Webby.

Before she ran from me, and then when we spoke afterward, I found her presence...tolerable, despite all of her energy.

I think I will miss her too.
