[Mal had a scowl on her face, a front.] "So. Saying it now so you know. Not going to be around for a while. Maybe as long as a week. So someone needs to take my patrols. Micheal, Ace, hoping you can get that for me. No I don't want to talk about what is going on, no I do not want or need comfort or sympathy or anything. Just letting you all know."
[And she cut the connection. She might reply to a few comments before they eat the apples. Might not. Probably won't reply to most until after the spell ended....]
