[The clouds part and the Hunter's Moon shines a crimson red over the sleeping Main Street. Maybe the rest is a little uneasy. Maybe it should be. Three strangers appear in the mirror, the castle behind them, white walls turned red by the moonlight. The redheaded one steps forward.]

Greetings, apprentices!

I see thee all tucked in thy beds as borrowed magic flows through thy veins. Well, no longer! When we come into power, all thy magic will be ours and ye would be our bread and our meat and our servants hand and foot. Whatever we shall need of ye.

Unless of course, thou woulds't like to move ahead of the line....

[she laughs, full shrieking cackles, as do the others]

[she holds up three crystal pendants to the mirror, in which apprentices can see a Merlin, Hades and Dreamfinder, small and unconscious within]

[there is a clap of thunder and a brilliant flash of lightning... and then they are gone. But are not far.]


[you are now entering a dangerous time, apprentices. The blood moon will stay in the sky for two nights instead of one before a massive storm on the fifteenth clears it out. As the month continues there will be more rainy days than not and more nights filled with wild storms.

[Just in case things weren't bad enough already with the blood moon and Sanderson sisters, and kidnappings... Main Street erupts in a series of explosions. It turns out the sudden cold, rain, and blood moon with Ace's fire out of control, doesn't mix well with gross magic and booze mini-stills.]

Fuck fuck fuck shit fuck damn fuck sorry, don't-- [More explosions rocket off behind him.] Fuck.

I need... Shit I don't even know. Help maybe. I'd offer booze, but as you can see... [Winces as a high-pitched whistling shriek goes off and he frantically tries to get it to NOT EXPLODE.]

[Whew. At least one is safe. Maybe!!!] It doesn't like the weather. [It = Ace, actually. It's all Ace.]

Gross magic should be easier in a full moon, right? RIGHT?! Fuck everything.

[Leia thought long an hard before picking up her mirror. Both about whether or not to do it at all, and once she'd determined to do that, what she was going to say. And before she picked it up, she made an effort to make herself look as 'official' as possible, like her mommy did before giving a speech.

Thus, when she appears on the network, her dress is clean and mostly wrinkle-free, her usual pigtails have been exchanged for a more 'serious' single braid down her back, and she's sitting as straight and tall as she can. She takes a deep breath and begins.]

Some of you probably know me, but others of you might not. My name is Leia Organa, and I'm one of the Apprentices that was brought here to help fight the Corrosion. I'm also a Princess, back home and here.

A lot of stuff's happened the past day or so and a lot of it is still happening. I won't tell people not to be scared, 'cause it's a scary situation. Things are dangerous, and probably will be for awhile. But I am asking that everybody do what they can to help. Not just us Apprentices; everybody. Because when things are scary and dangerous, that's when people need to stick together and help each other the most.

Everybody who lives here has been doing a great job of that already. Even when bad things are happening everywhere else, you've worked hard to make sure Main Street stays a nice place to live. No one and nothing should be allowed to take that from you.

So I'm going to do whatever I can to help. I may not be the biggest or the strongest, but I've been practicing my magic, and I'm ready to use it to help anyone who's been hurt by what's going on.

[She gives a nod, indicating the end of her speech.]
