[Video] There are WORSE songs to be stuck on loop [OTA]

[The mirrors activate to show a very confused looking Fenton. There is some sort of soft-rock music playing in the background. It has a definite early-80s feel to it, for anyone who'd be familiar with that.]

Did someone's spell go awry? Can anyone else hear this music, or am I going crazy? I don't have anything in the apartment on, if anyone's wondering. It just started... playing, and has been playing for a few loops, now.

[To be honest, after the surprise had worn off, it was starting to drive him a little nuts. At least the music was relatively quiet.]

You're a duckling! [he was surprised! His own song is rolling around him, somewhat muted by the water] Are you with Webby's bloom?

[Okay. Fenton just blinks and stares at Keeper for a moment.] I think I've been spending a bit too much time indoors... Looks like I missed some arrivals. ....What are you supposed to be, even? Err, sorry... WHO are you?

[He gives his head a little shake and clears his throat.] I'm not a duckling! I'm just a duck. I haven't been a duckling for years! [He then scratched his head in confusion.] I've no idea what a 'bloom' is, but... oh boy this is complicated. You know how there are SO MANY different types of people here? From all sorts of different worlds? Well... Webby and I come from very similar ones, but not the same world. In her home, she knows a different version of me... and in my home, I know a different version of her.

Ahh... my name's Fenton, by the way. What's your name?

Yeeeeeah, no. Sorry if it woke you up, Webby. I'd certainly turn it off, if I could. Wishing magic does nothing. Except make me sleepy, and I've slept ENOUGH the past month already, thank you...

[he smiles brightly at that explanation] I don't understand any of that but I still think it would make Webby sad if I ate you so I won't.

I'm the Keeper of Aby's precious memories... memory... [those two words meant much the same thing but one had a deeper meaning than the other. Keeper takes a moment to feel about this discovery but presses on] What's a Fenton?

At first I didn't mind so much, it kinda reminded me of being around Dewey. He loves singing and making up songs.

... Nnnow it's just reminding me about the Sky Pirates and that's not good.

Really? Just Dewey? Not all three boys? [He's used to the triplets being A SET, and not too different from each other much at all.]

...Sky Pirates don't sound good. I mean, they're pirates! They're not good in principle. But I've never heard of pirates being in the sky...

[Whaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa....?!?!?! He hadn't expected the guy to understand, he barely did, but at the last bit there, Fenton went stiff, the feathers on the back of his neck standing on edge as a shudder went through his body. Did that guy just say what he THOUGHT he said?] YES, it would most likely make her sad. It would make ME sad! Don't EAT me!! What kind of a... a.... WHAT?!

[He shudders again, and gives his head a little shake.] Okay, I don't understand any of that, either. I mean, what's your name. What sort of a ... being are you? You're no human, or anything else I've seen here. And I'm Fenton! That's my name!

[The odd question did have the effect of cutting Fenton's music off sharply at least, only for a new, weird tune to take its place.]

We were coming back from one of our adventures, when these pirates attacked us in their own flock of plans! And they sung the whole time, and we were so surprised that by the time we realized what had happened, they'd already robbed us and gotten away. It was weird.

Alright. I won't. Don't be scared. [but he's amused] I'm Keeper. That's the name I decided because that's what I am and do. Names mean things. That's what I've learned.

[he did laugh at the song]

That's adorable! I'm a merjelly of the crushing deep. That's what I am.

'Don't be scared'. Easier said than done... You're HUGE. [Fenton muttered under his breath.]

Well... err... ah... welcome to the Kingdoms, then, Keeper. I trust you're... fitting in, well?

[He scratched the top of his head.] I've heard of mermaids, but never merjellies. Then again, there's a lot still unknown about the deep sea and all, so... [He shrugged helplessly.]

Of course! But most importantly, we got Dewey back! ... Cause he'd snuck aboard with them and we didn't realize it right away.

I don't fit anywhere. But I can squeeze. The deep sea is a mystery but it's beautiful. Not as strange as this place is.

Ahh... that's not QUITE what I meant... though I can see how you'd have trouble fitting into places, too. I meant are you adjusting to being here, in the Kingdoms?

[That did get a bit of a chuckle out of Fenton.] For us land-dwellers, I'd say the reverse is true. Most of us think the deep sea is a strange, unknown place.

Dewey snuck aboard?! Okay... I can see any of the nephews doing that, looking for adventure. Good to hear you got him back safely. Ah... you did get him back safely, he wasn't hurt, right? [Cue concerned look.]

Nothing hurt but his pride. Repeatedly. Along with the SunChaser, but that's nothing new.

It's interesting. People like me and are tasty. It's not as lonely anymore. [so he liked that]

It is still a strange, unknown place. Not even the oldest of the Ancient Bloom knows everything about it. There are still deeps that even we can't go.

[Fenton chuckles.] With Launchpad at the helm, no doubt. Mr. McDuck doesn't have any one special plane he uses... there've been quite a bunch he's either had Launchpad pilot, or booked flights on. Launchpad had... has? ...his own little bi-plane, though! What'd he call it again? [He put his hand to his chin in thought, trying to remember Launchpad or the boys ever talking about it.] Joy... joyfull, joyboy... Joyrider! I think he called it the Joyrider! Of course, I don't know how often he flies it, now. He's probably too busy flying the Thunderquack for Darkwing Duck to fly it much.
