Ahem! Well! [he is standing in front of a window again, light dazzling off his pure white wings and he is practically glowing]
Hello, everyone.
I admit times seem a little hard and we are inclined to be grumpy. That Dreamfinder is unfortunately missing again and that the townspeople aren't fond of us. I do believe that is less to do with us and more to do with --well-- times have been hard and Dreamfinder has been a bit concerned or was the last time I spoke -- Anyway, the important thing is! To keep our own spirits up and to be kind and understanding to one another as we may.
My last message I was a bit of--well a bit tetchy. So I'd like to apologize to anyone I got off on the wrong foot.
And especially perhaps to you, er, Beetlejuice. [what a name] I would most sincerely like to apologize to you for the horrible way I've treated you. Demon or not, you don't deserve such a hard time and that you tease others, well [it's just a reflection of your own insecurities really] no one is perfect.
Of course it is perfectly within your rights not to accept my extended hand of friendship and apology, but it is there for you whenever you wish it.
Not even an Angel is Perfect.
[and he beams beatifically, slants of light glinting around him as if a chorus might sing at any moment]

Wing. Tips. That was NOT intentional.
I mean. Hello! I'm Merlan Margaret O'Keefe. I think my mother would curse me if I ever forgot the Margaret, so, there it is. Ah, new faces are good.
And [Her wings flare a little in the background curling a little bit up and around her shoulders, vivid blues, cyans, indigos, all washed with iridescence.] well, I suppose I'm not sure what I am. Something vaguely angelic. Not quite Nephilim, so I've been assured.
I'm so sorry you were having a difficult time! That can't be too good for your own morale. Anyway, ah...wings. Mine aren't always out and before I even step foot in that library, I think I need some wing pointers. [Her nose scrunches a little.] I could ask Crowley but...in the interest of making some new friends, would you be alright if I got some tips, err, pointers from you?
hee
And your wings are quit splendid, my dear. Very colorful! They remind me a bit of a tropical rain forest. [his smile widens at the mention of Crowley.]
He is very good with feathers. Why, you couldn't get better tips from anyone else! And he strikes such a dynamic pose with them. [a sigh and his own feathers fluff]
But of course, my dear, certainly. Come to the library anyway. You shan't hurt anything even if you knock it over. Do you take tea? Cocoa? Whiskey? I have a little bit of everything on hand.
I should not be allowed to have this unicorn
I suppose I'm..sorta in-between normal mage and human. I think if anyone aside from the very few who know did know, either I'd be murdered or used for someone else's purposes. I'm not really sure how I grew the wings other than my angel somehow grew them with me and they sort of sprouted after he...after he died.
Give me a few moments and I'll drop by.
Hello? [Her voice sang out with the softly appropriate volume one uses in libraries.]

This way, dear girl. I've set out the tea things. But we can of course switch it up if we're feeling adventurous.
[and he will pour her some tea into a delicate china cup] How do you take your sugar and milk?

[Not too light nor too dark, in other words.]
It's not a civilized discussion without tea.

And certainly you're right. That might be the problem with certain others. This aversion to tea and obsession with soda pop.
[he shakes his head dolefully and sips his own tea]
Now, tell me about yourself, my dear. What is your world like? Your angels? Your demons? Have you met the Most High?
wow, this got lost

[He scratched a patch of moss on his cheek.]
Are you, uh, serious?

....
[Beetlejuice ran a hand through those citrus colored locks, chewing his lip.]
People don’t usually apologize to me. Um...sure? No big deal, I, uh, guess?

Re: (Video)
Okay, sounds fair to me.
[He was all for “even” and “fair”, and he was willing to consider them even. And he *was* skilled at scaring, no wonder it left an impression.]

Apology accepted.

[he is momentarily annoyed but cheers himself up with the fact that one day this human will be nothing but a vague distant memory, if that]

[There's no mockery in his tone. He's met enough beings who just go by "the such-and-such" that it's not odd to him.]

That was really well said, Aziraphale.

I'm quite good at it when I put my mind to it. [grovelling. Telling people what they want to hear. That sort of thing]

Thanks, Aziraphale. I forgive you.
Also, for what it's worth ... I think if everything were perfect, we wouldn't have anything to do, and then it would all be really boring.
no subject
Mm, I suppose you're right. After all it is a bit of an unattainable goal. Only the Almighty is perfect.

But you've made a really great example today for everyone, too. Which - that's pretty angelic, right?
