It had been far too long now. Over five days since he had last heard anything from The Dreamfinder. His own magics had shown that the man was not even in Main Street! An enormous danger to all of them but more so to Blair himself. As it was, even the Mirror Portal had begun to malfunction without it's builder to maintain it.

A quiet inquiry had been sent out through the Land, to be on the look out for The Dreamfinder. Any news was to be sent straight to Merlin or Hades...none had come. Which was why he now sat at his table, staring at his own small communication mirror.

There was evidence of the old walkway to Tiki Oasis having been used. No one had used it since the Oasis had become the Dark Jungles. Whatever survivors having been the last ones through ages ago. It was a rather long shot but, Merlin had nothing else to go on.

[The video turns on to show a very grumpy looking Merlin.]

I am calling all Sorcerer's Apprentices that are currently with in the Magic Kingdoms. I am afraid I have rather worrisome news.

[He rubs the bridge of his nose.]

It seems that The Dreamfinder, has gone missing. I am assuming it has been of his own power but, as he is still a new Kingdom Spirit, and the last Kingdom Spirit, I am afraid he will find himself in great danger.

So I am asking for volunteers. I need to send you out into the Dark Jungles to find the Dreamfinder or else the last beat of imagination this place has will be snuffed out and everything we have been working towards will be destroyed.

[His voice grew far more grim.]

That includes your own worlds. If The Corrosion destroys Main Street, then there is nothing left between it and your worlds. And...once it leaves the Kingdoms- it can not be stopped. If you wish to volunteer please, let me know.

The fate of Imagination is in your hands, Apprentices. Do with that, what you will.

Like ehhhhh it's too embarrassing to say out loud, but I think even in his full on torture-as-a-mission -- no I KNOW he was still being adventurous about it, yeah And that's really disappointingly rare! Like everyone's so willing to just let things stay status quo! I hate that! If something's wrong then fix it! Even if you have to break all the eggs, what's the point of just keeping things stupid out of a fear of the unknown or new or never tried before, right! And I mean that's why he even went along with a buncha crazy humans and their plans to do the impossible, I'm sure of it!

Like just being scared of what could happen isn't a good enough reason not to do it. People, no matter what the species, should try to do more, be more, explore new things, wear a paperclip bracelet. Anything. Just don't be boring.

And he downplays it like it's not a big deal, but it is!! People are just so willing to accept things are stupid, and not enough people bother asking why and even less people are brave enough to do anything to try and change it!

Hate to burst your bubble but the reason he suggested teaming up with us to begin with was to save his own hide. He was worried about his boss finding out how badly he'd fucked up so he offered us a deal.

Me neither. I've been in a hundred parallel universes and never magical. But I've been trying to fight the darkness swallowing universes and worlds, and the corrosion looks like the early stage of it, before it becomes irreversible and lost forever.

So I'm willing to try anything. Even though I really hate school. Never even finished my A-levels.

Yes. Name on the tin. It's reality being eaten away. Like plague or blight or rot. But on existence. It's usually very violent, it brings out the worst in a lot of people, and when it reaches the point of darkness, it's just gone. Imagine the sun itself going out, but instead of it being a temporary eclipse, it's not blocked by anything, it's just gone. And people act like it never was there at all.

A-levels... yeah the're like... the final part of high school I guess. I ran off at sixteen. Joined a rocker. Don't ask.

Jimmy Stone is an idiot, who is arrested in pretty much every other universe for too many drugs, and too little common sense. He wasn't talented, and I was very young and naive and believed if I just clapped my hands and believed in him hard enough, he would make it big and fulfill all our dreams, and I was just desperate to get away from my Mum, and young enough to be taken in by any angle of the London underground scene.

I was covering his rent and workin' two jobs so he could practice all day, but he went off and got engaged to a woman named Noosh in Norway. Everything bad happens to me in Norway.

His band never could decide on a genre either. I was an idiot enough to think that was just because they were on the cutting edge of creating a whole new genre unknown to everyone at the time. After a few months, it got obvious that they were just too busy partying to actually commit to practice and not really good enough to pull off grunge, punk, rock, death metal, or anything else.

Sting really wrote some weird stuff, huh? I still don't get the metaphors in Kiss From a Rose on the Grey. No wait. Was that Seal? Argh whatever. The Beatles are better.

That's one of him. There's another one who plays the recorder and is a fairy of chaos. It's less gay than it sounds, but not by a lot.

The older one is my best friend though. He's roomies with Michael, and I pretty much always run away to him. Old habits die hard. He was a lot younger when I first met him, but not as young as the Chaos one.
