Lydia has borrowed one of their tables and set it with an assortment of snacks, fruit, a pile of napkins, a stack of glasses, and a pitcher of their amazing lemonade... but the clear focus of the shot is propped against the alley wall: a giant book that anyone from the Temple party of the Jungle mission will recognize as a retired but unusual tent. She's wearing black jeans with splatters of maroon spray paint, courtesy of her roommate's creativity, and a matching brocade top, with a large, full envelope in her hands. The envelope is 8x10, yellow slashed with red diagonal lines.]

Hi, everybody. I've met most of you, I think, but my name is Lydia Deetz, and I work at the camera shop when I'm not training. I take pictures when I'm out exploring, and when we have parties, and meetings ... pretty much all the time. My friend Fenton made this giant book with his magic as a mistake, but... I want to turn it into a big photo album for all of us, as a record of everything that happens. I have a lot of pictures already, from the first two months I've been here... And some of them are from the other night, so you're all here.

[she pats the envelope]

One of my favorite myths about photography is some people think it steals your soul. Not really, but... It helps keep a memory. And memories are part of our soul, so ... Maybe what it really does is make our souls stronger. If we're going to be doing a lot of fighting and exploring and repairing... We're going to need to be strong. So. Maybe this will help. I'm in the alley by the Gibson Girl, if you want to come and help... Or even if you want to just look at the pictures. Once all the pictures are in, I'll keep it in the lobby of the apartments until I get more.

More warbles left her as the human goes to show her pictures from her hatching. Did she really looked like that? This was the first actual look of pictures that the Queen ever saw and.. Not bad. The pride in the girl was obvious.

She goes to glow again, hoping to keep a smile on the teen's face, letting her know of the pride she felt. Even though they were of different spieces and she was still a "baby", she felt motherly towards Lydia.

Zombies, too? Oh, wow. I have two ghosts living with my family at home ... they don't glow, but they're both really nice. I think they'd love it here... and I'd love it if you came to help. We can trade stories about our ghosts, and you can tell me what it's like to live in a castle.

She glanced over her shoulder, then realized that with her royal affinity to bugs ... she might be able to find out. She'd talked to the spiders in the jungle, after all. She touched a hand to her choker and looked at Mothra, concentrating her thoughts as best she could.

Hi Rose ... yeah, that's my camera. It takes an impression of the light through the front, and records it onto film in the back. I have a special room where I use chemicals and special lights to transfer that impression onto paper, and that's how you get pictures.

Mothra made sure to stay still as the teen pets her. She goes to let out some happy chirps and chitters to agree with her.

Well, we got sucked into this horror movie through the TV by accident, so I didn't really have time to test out my strengths and weaknesses. Once we got out of the movie, we were back to normal.

[he comes by, walking beside Samson Will-Eat-Your-Testicles-If-You-Call-Me-Pepper Jones. The horse looks put out as only they can be and whinnies at Lydia through their teeth when they spot her]

Jones wants to know if your offer is open to equines. They didn't believe me when I said of course they are, so they need to hear it from your own mouth.


[Samson hoofs the earth and tosses their head]

At the sight of her favorite unofficial family, Lydia grins, but knows that Samson has a very fragile ego and will get even snittier if she doesn't address him first.

"Hi Samson! Of course you're welcome. I have pictures of you and your friends from my lessons."

"They want an individual one." He returns the grin, proud of her handling of the situation honestly. Small as it is. "And bigger than Bananabread's." Because of course.

"Mind if I take a look through what you got?" He gestures to the book, letting Lydia take care of Samson Jones' ego.

[she turns into a hyperspeed bobblehead for a second, excited not only that she explained it properly, but that Rose knew what she was talking about]

Yeah, exactly like that. Only there's special film, instead of fabric. The chemicals react with the film and that's how the image gets on the paper. There are ways to make the picture bigger or smaller, too.

I'm a princess. One of my talents is that I can talk to insects. I wasn't sure if it would work because you aren't from the Kingdoms. But what should I call you?

Well, it's gonna need a cover illustration. Think you could paint the castle? Maybe a neat logo?

I had seen artist us the pinhole technique to draw the outlines for portraits they were starting, but I never heard of a chemical that does that work for you. Mind if come to see these picture of yours?
