[it has to be said he has had to have time to get over certain things, but he's rested a bit and reconnected a bit and no longer feels like he is falling apart at the seams. And so! He stands in front of the window, light streaming in around him, because Presentation is 50% of...well...proceeding to foment.
Anyway, the point is, with the light on his wings and through his hair and his immaculate clothes... that he is a bit tired of wearing, he must say. That, however is neither here nor there.
Added to the mix, the sapphire on his rose gold pinky ring is glowing faintly.
When he speaks, his voice is low and quite musical though he's not singing. There is a certain richness to it. Like honey or warm milk. Something nostalgic and full of meaning]
Good afternoon, everyone.
We've had quite an adventure, haven't we! Some more adventure than others it seems. And look. Sometimes it took a miracle, but we have all survived it-- and succeeded no less. And have gotten sparks for our trouble. [he presses a hand to his heart, the one on which the ring sits and the sapphire seems to trail light into the air]
It might have been difficult and trying... but the reward is that we are a little closer to success. To making things right. To discovering ourselves and what we are truly capable of. Thank you for those who rescued Dreamfinder and [he falters, then says confidently] Pigment.
And even though the quest to retrieve the amulet sadly didn't do as much as was hoped-- who knows what may come of it? Perhaps the real benefit was the friendships we made along the way.
As before, I am always here to help as I can... But please make an appointment first unless it's crucial. I do have a lot to learn myself. Beyond that, I'll always lend a willing ear to any of your problems.
Rest easy my friends. We have much to be proud of.

[of the sugar, he means. After she tells him he adds it to her tea and then takes the burbon to give each of them a liberal amount] There we are.
Of course it won't always be a train wreck. Trial runs are always a little rough around the edges, but after you get more experience they become easier.

[She sighs, watching him stir his tea.]
You ask me I'm still not even convinced they meant to bring me here.
[Then she takes an experimental sip of the tea and her eyes widen.]
Damn that's good!
no subject
[he smiles at her pleasure and takes a sip of his own.]
Isn't it?
[he watches her a moment]
Well, let's see if we can figure it out perhaps. Assuming you were brought here for a reason, what reason do you think that might be?
no subject
[She takes another sip of tea, trying to be ladylike as she sets the cup back down and picks up a sandwich. Thinking on his question, she shrugs.]
Why? I dunno. To keep an eye on Michael?
no subject
[he thinks about this a moment]
I think it's a bit more to it than that. Or rather it's part of it. You do have a knack for bringing people together, my dear, and helping everyone pull through in times of trouble. We're all amateurs here after all, so having someone with your perseverance is necessary, I think.
It takes more than fighters to win a war. Or... bring peace to a land that sorely needs it, it seems. These poor people who live here look quite harrowed sometimes.

Shit..
[He was right. Of course he was right. He was an angel! She set down the sandwich and pressed her hands to her eyes, leaning back with a dramatic groan.
But those wheels kept turning. She sat upright again, frowning as she looked at him. ]
Okay... So... Say you're right. Why wasn't I made a princess? Cause Mal was spewing all that crap about princes and princesses being the leaders.

[he adds a bit more bourbon to his tea]
So you as a fairy, perhaps, aside from being able to utilize your emotions, allows you the freedom to not have the responsibility if you don't choose it. I was also reading something about fairies able to instill blesses or curses. Maybe it's giving you a whole other avenue of yourself to explore. Oh!
[he rests his hand on the table between them, feathers fluffing a bit]
It knows what you are capable of, and now wants to see what else you can do. Isn't it exciting?

She leans back in her chair, pursing her lips as she thinks about his logic. It's pretty sound, from what she can tell.]
I don't know... Maybe... Though having freedom to do shit without worrying about points is pretty sweet.
[She snags that bottle, adding more bourbon to her own tea.]
You're talking about this place like it's alive... Gotta say, that's a little weird.
no subject
Not necessarily the place but whomever or whatever brought us here. [he doesn't say God, but that's what he means. He leans back, blowing out a breath and staring out the window absently]
But it's going to take a lot of work before we feel any benefits of that. Or they do. [he nods to the, for want of a better word, civilians wandering by.] I feel for them. One moment everything is normal and the next they're surrounded by corruption. Isolated here while everything else around them is a nightmare waiting to happen.
Like that poor fish. [he shudders to think]
no subject
She sighs, too. ]
The ethical thing is to help them however we can... Isn't it...
[That wasn't a question. She already knew the answer.]
no subject
[he holds out his hand, palm up, there if she wants to take it]
But you know, my dear.... Eleanor... None of us carry the burden alone. And the more we learn and work together, the easier it will be, of that much I'm sure.

When Aziraphale extends his hand she feels a strange pull towards it. To stick with him and help him in his quest to help the people of this place. He definitely couldn't do it alone and, if what he said was even partially true, she could actually help the others there, too. She smiles, placing her hand in his with a nod. ]
Together.
no subject
Oh! Which reminds me! Have you ever tried French pastries? [he gathers the bag he had at his side] If not, let me introduce you to a world of wonder.
no subject
Her eyes widen and she smiles brightly. He definitely has her attention.]
I have not. But if you're this excited they've gotta be good!

[he pulls things out of the bag, all wrapped prettily in foil. There are pink and green macarons, eclairs with raspberry cream, a small stack of mocha religieuse. And the pièce de résistance, an Opéra gâteau, for two.]
I have someone that can hook me up. [he says the words as if he's never said them before. Though he has! Just rarely and not precisely in this context. But he knows the modern terms]
