I.... I'm not a nerd!?

[She's far from insulted, just mildly stunned. She's spent the last ten years surrounding herself with the smartest blokes on any planet, and by far just getting by on improvisation, luck, and heart.]

[She does like reading but...]
I can barely say.... Raxicoricofallip-- [Crosses her eyes. She can do this!!!] Prius Taurus. [Please don't notice that those are car models....]

And Aziraphale is like... ungodly hard to pronounce. What kind of a god names their angels really hard things anyway? And all the demons are easy! Like Shawn and Michael or Crowley or Aahz. See? Easy! I don't know, there's probably an important lesson in that.

[Pouts cheek to side.]

[It's not that she has a problem with being a nerd, but...]

[Of all the Torchwood agents, of all the universes, and all their bases, Rose was like the least nerdy of all of them. She usually felt like the opening of 2001: A Space Odyssey with the apes going well, ape, over the obelisk and just smashing rocks together expecting it to do something.]

[Blimey Mickey wasn't exactly the toughest little dweeb out there either, but he was still a brave little soldier, and also definitely more of a nerd than Rose could ever be.]

[Was her father a nerd?]

[Peter Tyler was an inventor and that made him a kind of a scientist...]

[But he didn't exactly like labs, or hate parties. And he was a salesman through and through.]

[Rose shakes her head. The easiest litmus test of all:]

I'm just an adventure junkie. The Doctor is the smartest person I've ever met, I mean daft yeah, but brilliant. And because of it... he likes to do some really [Boring. Dull. Annoying.] Quietly tame things like check out telescopes or museums. The Louvre. World Fair. I'm more into rock concerts, running from monsters, meeting werewolves, that kind of thing, yeah?

I don't want to drink antimatter because it's antimatter, I want to do it because I like the feeling of nearly exploding, and being shot out of a cannon at the speed of void. [Yes.] Annnnd I only know what it is because... I'm surrounded by geniuses all day every day. Not just the Doctor. Human scientists too. It rubs off a little.
