[HUFFS!] There would too! It just wouldn't be so focused on the romance part. Maybe more on the racial politics since America?? I mean, other planets have their own better versions I'm sure.

And it totally wasn't original or timely!! Tristan and Isolde, Paris and Helena, Persephone and Hay------ let's not finish that one lest someone get tetchy, but like I said! Greeks!! Every Greek tragedy had romance and at least with that one about summer and stuff... [Hand gestures!!] I'm just saying, if we don't see Persephone around, and it's mysteriously always Summer? Her future husband hasn't met her yet, and so her mom hasn't decided to curse the world the half of the year her daughter spends with the dead, yeah?

[Can we all just point out that for all of Rose's bitching because romantic tragedies are too real for her, she still picked the story to focus on with an overprotective mother who slaps her immortal son-in-law in the face and that Persephone lives as a half-ghost and torn between family alive and well or love of her life but half-dead, one way or another? Yes. Because that's not a mirror worse than any timelord Romeo and human Juliet.]

And she wasn't even the first one! There was a Sumerian princess who did it before her, right? And the tale of Princess Kaguya and the moon is way better.

Also.

Why do only tragedies last?

Where's the happily ever after? Why does everyone have to choose half-lives and death, family or romance? Careers or children? My parents got to choose both. More stories should be like that, ta.
